I'm not sure if this location was just having a bad day on my most recent visit or something else, but it wasn't the greatest experience I've had at a Jersey Mike's. My colleagues and I frequent Jersey Mike's all over the place when we travel and we eat at this location that is close to home fairly regularly. Because they are usually in point, I've only deducted one star for this past experience.
When my colleague and I visited on this occasion, they weren't particularly busy or anything. It was a bit before noon when we arrived and there was no one in front of us in line. We had a meeting at 1pm so we had given ourselves plenty of time to eat and get back to the office. We placed our orders and mine was made quickly. My colleague ordered a Philly cheese steak, so we expected to wait a little while for it to be prepared. It didn't matter too much because we chose to dine in and we were good on time.
After 7 to 10 minutes, we had to check on our his sub because we didn't see anyone cooking the steak. Because it was a business lunch, I also needed to get an itemized receipt as I paid with my company credit card. They finally began cooking the steak once we reminded them about it, but for some reason, they were unable to provide us with a receipt.
Once we got our food, I will say that it was terrific as usual. Jersey Mike's uses great quality ingredients and their sandwiches are always well prepared. They have a decent offering of chips and drinks to accompany your sub sandwich, so it's usually a great spot to get a good meal. I don't have a single complaint with the food, other than an issue with their sweet tea. There was an employee standing at the iced tea dispensers telling everyone that both containers were unsweetened tea and they were just waiting for it to be used up before they fixed it. I couldn't make any sense of that.
So needless to say, this past visit didn't nearly meet the mark. I don't understand how it's possible that they couldn't print me out a receipt. If the cashier didn't know how, he should have asked his manager, especially once I explained the importance of it. Instead, I had to go through the process of explaining myself to our finance department and I'm sure I don't have to tell you how much fun that is. I also don't understand why they didn't fix the iced tea situation immediately, rather than waiting for people to use up tea that they really didn't want in the first place.
I'm going to give them another chance for sure, but I really hope they have it together next time. This review is not meant to be harmful and it shouldn't keep you from visiting this location. My only intention is to get someone's attention, in hopes that improvements will be made. Thanks...
Read moreI have attempted to get food from here 3 times now different hours of the day and different days of the week, and have only been successful once. I get that they are busy especially at lunch rush. I’ve accepted this each time but today was different, today after waiting in line to order and it’s my turn I try to order a sub in a bowl and the manager who is making subs very rudely screams at me loudly to inform me that there is over 30 min wait to get started on any hot sub orders because “as you can see we are swamped” then asking the guy at the station to step aside and demand me to look. Okay I get that it’s lunch rush but there there is PROPER professional way to come about this. Say it in a tone, and not screaming at the customer just because you’re overwhelmed with orders. This is the excuse all the time for the waits and honestly this is the only location that doesn’t seem to know how to handle a “rush” then after I told the manager man this happens every time I come, instead of apologizing just screams sarcastically WELL HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY. Okay because of your unprofessional attitude due to you being overwhelmed I don’t think I will come back to this location, made me very uncomfortable and embarrassed. And apparently from reading other reviews this is not the first and won’t be the last time. I think you should appreciate being busy in this hard time , and respect...
Read moreToday would have been my first time experiencing jersey mikes, I've heard good things about the franchise as whole so I decided today would be the day. As I'm looking at the very broad menu I was impressed I was on the phone with my mother asking her has she had jersey mikes before. I then walk up to the counter about to place my order, and I was directed my a gentleman with a man bun to get off my phone and then he would help me. I am actively in the military and I was very disappointed in fact he wouldn't help me because I was on the phone, as neither myself or my mom have been to this establishment. I haven't been to this franchise before but if you all have a policy that coustomers can't be served while they on the phone, That should be posted. In that moment I felt profiled and left the establishment. Felt that he didn't care about my civil rights I was embarrassed. I would like for this issue to be addressed I would like an apology from that person at the establishment. And free subs for a year. Maybe if I...
