After craving a California Burrito for some time, I took to Google to find a place in the local area. This little gem popped up in the RADAR. The star review is not for the place, but for the burrito itself. The place I would give a 4.5 overall. The staff is very welcoming. Well, back to the food. The burrito is not necessarily pretending to be a California Burrito, I don’t think, but it could use some work on the meat department. Typically California Burritos have a hefty ratio of meat, this was not the case here. Don’t get me wrong the thing was pretty hefty, but I feel the rice and beans took too much space; taking a bit from the carne, which should always be the center piece on the California. Overall I enjoyed the burrito, and so did my girlfriend. I will come and try other dishes.
From 4 to 2 stars…..
After my fist visit a year or so ago, I am once again finding this hole in the wall not so great. Came in for Taco Tuesday and ordered Fish Tacos (2 bucks ea) and Double Decker (3 bucks ea). The fish tacos had a 10% fish to tortilla ratio, and the fish was not even fresh or tasty. It was salty, very salty. The double decker with ground beef left a lot to be desired. Taco Bell has better double deckers. In conclusion, I am not sure what kind of people frequent this place, but one thing for certain, they must have never had good Mexican food. I might give them a third...

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant and was unfortunately very disappointed with the overall experience. I ordered the chicken enchilada, carne asada fries, fresh guacamole, and ended up adding a side of queso.
Chicken Enchilada: This was just okay. It came with red sauce and cheese, but the cheese wasn’t even melted and the enchilada itself was dry. There wasn’t nearly enough sauce to make it enjoyable. Carne Asada Fries: Easily the worst item I ordered. It was mostly plain fries with very little toppings. The flavor was missing completely, and it was hard to enjoy. I would never order these again. Fresh Guacamole: This was the one highlight of the meal. It tasted fresh and came with sliced jalapeños and chicharrones, which was a nice surprise. Queso: I added this after realizing my fries needed something to help them. Unfortunately, it was almost $7 for a very small cup. It felt like a waste and didn’t really help improve the fries much. I’ve eaten here before, and each time I’ve hoped for a better experience. Sadly, this will be my last visit. I’m not someone who typically writes reviews, but this meal was disappointing enough that I felt the need to share.
I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos—after a long day at work, I was just ready to eat. But the quality was poor enough that I couldn’t stay...
Read moreUsed to come here every week but moved 45 mins away. When I’m in the area, I always come and order takeout. A few days ago, my roommate and I ordered some food to go. My dog was sick so I ordered him plain chicken and told the staff, TWICE. They said they’d make sure no seasoning would be on the chicken and that it would be plain. We spent $72 for everything. Get to the car and open what was supposed to be plain chicken to taste it and realize, it was not plain at all. Took the food back inside and told them we couldn’t feed this chicken to my dog. They said that it was plain and that it was cooked on the grill flattop, so that was “the seasoning” and refused to remake it plain.
Honestly, we should have just went to the grocery store to get some canned chicken for him, which is what we ended up doing anyway. But thoroughly disappointed with the staff arguing about the chicken. Bro just remake it in a chef pan. Which they should’ve done in the first place.
It really is the best Mexican in town. But I won’t be returning after receiving that service and the “argument”. Super...
