Taqueria La Ceiba — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Love running into little jewels of savory goodness in the area. This is another “must stop” venue in the VB area, the menu is lite and basic “taquero” style fare. Tacos, burritos, tortas, and quesadillas; if they have something extra they’ll post it on a placard at the service window. Ordered tacos de cachete (cheek), barbacoa, and a quesadilla de chorizo. Simply prepared and executed with flavor packed in each bite. The beef cheek and barbacoa were not overly salted, thank you!! Still had the little fat on the cheek that gave its flavor without being “another greasy taco”, I was pretty impressed that they weren’t tacos in a puddle of grease. Good job!! The quesadilla with chorizo was good!!!! That cheese was it, hopefully they used the Oaxaca style. The service was great and very friendly. About 10-15min wait for the food, it didn’t take long. I would just like to speak for all of the reviews that this place doesn’t have it is amazing. The food no matter what you get is phenomenal. I have ordered from here right after a day at the range more than a few times and every time I do I want some more. This last time I had the barbecue quesadillas and again it was amazing.
