My cousin and I eat from THIS Arby's all the time. We online order, I enjoy driving out and picking it up. Skip to the bottom for the real scoop on this Arby's. Spoiler - they are perfect.
Only a few of the yelp reviews are real, and they are the good ones. The rest are patently repetitive, images falsified and reused.
This place always has a small line because they make perfect food.
Here's the real scoop: First the negative: they run a small crew, so you will wait 5-7 minutes for any fresh-cut sandwich. That's it. Fountain drinks are free refills so sit back, drink some drink and watch the people go in and out. Then your magic bag of Arby's nosh will appear and your mind will achieve nirvana.
Every single sandwich I've ordered has been perfect and generously "meated." The fries are timed so that they are nuclear hot and crispy even if you drive 5-10 minutes before eating. Ask for sauce? GET ALL U LIKE. The fountains are always freshly changed and if by some fluke the syrup is out they will change the bag immediately.
They smile. They repeat themselves for hard of hearing. They bark your name so you don't miss when your order is ready. They add and subtract anything you want from your sandwich. Just simply go knowing that they run a skeleton crew and it will take a few minutes to make a perfect order.
The only bad experiences I've had is with the impatient, petulant manchildren who want their chicken...
Read moreLeaving negative reviews is not my jam. However, comma - when my Dad, who's in a neighborhood assisted living facility, asked me to go out and grab him fish n chips, and he's recently struggled with his food intake, I jumped and went to Arby's, thinking other neighborhood establishments which serve fish n chips would be a long wait.
There were a few folks in line which grew to many more, and it became clear everyone had ordered...they were just waiting on their food.
A reasonable 5 -10 mins, especially when ordering a special item like fish, turned into over 40 minutes as other customers waited, too, and ready orders piled up behind the counter or dried up under a heat lamp. To boot, both restrooms were closed for cleaning the entire time. Finally, many customers finally got their orders, disgruntled after a long wait, and I was still empty handed. All three employees on duty weren't working together or working well.
My service rating is 2 stars vs one since the kid behind the counter politely gave me a refund when I asked for my money back since I'd kept my receipt. And...I'm rather glad that it worked out this way, because cleanliness of the counter was also an issue.
I'm far from a fast food frequent flier, but good heavens, what a disappointing experience when I was just trying to grab my Daddy a snack, which...
Read moreI love Arby's roast beef sandwiches. They're comfort food and remind me of my childhood. Unfortunately, there aren't as many Arby's locations as there used to be.
When I found the Arby's in Falls Church/Merrifield, I had to go there. I wasn't disappointed. The roast beef sandwich is just as I remember it. Only the price has gone up. :( Fortunately, I got a great deal on the Arby's app -- 2 classic roast beef sandwiches for $5! I would have liked a potato cake, but alas Arby's stopped selling them. I got an order of fries, but they were dry, over-salted, and inedible.
The person who took my order seemed clueless about how app deals worked and it took longer than expected to place my order.
The atmosphere was pleasant -- not too noisy and with a lot of booths. The bathroom could have been cleaner.
Still, that roast...
