Ashburn Wine Shop, Wine Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in Virginia

Customer service was terrible. I saw a sign on the front door three weeks ago that “we have kegs”, so it was a Saturday and I walked in to order a 1/2 keg of beer for July 4th party. Young lady at front desk told me she does not take order and to call back Monday. Ok. I call Monday and place my order. A week later I call to verify when and where to pick up. They are not open Juky 4th so I pick up July 3rd. Ok. We call this Friday to see if we can grab the keg over the weekend. Gentleman says he will call us back on Saturday to let us know. Ok. He neveer calls. So we drive by store today and decide to stop in and check. Young lady says there is no order in the system - “sorry”. Really? I have 60 people coming and I get “sorry”. She call the manager and then offers me a growler of beer. 60 people. So I am not happy and trying to figure out what to do for my party and as we leave the young lady says “have a nice day”. Really. I am saddened at the lack of customer focus. ...

This place is AMAZING! We have been wine club members for over a year and their wines and wine tasting events have always been great! Recently, they opened up the wine bar in the back of the store. The food and wine selections are out of this world! Gourmet offerings that you can pair with wine flights, or a glass of wine or a bottle from their large selection.. The owners and staff couldn’t be nicer! The wine bar is small and intimate and during Covid, they are limiting seatings to 10 guests at a time. I almost hesitated writing this for fear it is going to be difficult to get a reservation soon, once the secret is out! Such a great place to enjoy wonderful wines paired with gourmet foods in a casual atmosphere. This is our new favorite...

My wife and I came here for date night on Saturday night. We had a reservation though it wasn’t too busy.

My wife had pinot gris and I had a pinot noir, both of which we enjoyed alongside the delicious food.

We had the following to eat:

Warm Focaccia & Olive Oil (had Parmesan in it for an added bonus!) Duck & Blackberry flatbread Pesto & Chicken Bliss flatbread Meat & cheese board including gouda and brie Shrimp & Cheesey Dip ( I forgot the name)

All of the above was delicious with a special shoutout for the duck flatbread 🤌🏼

Will definitely be going back and highly recommend it!

TLDR: Everything from the wine, to the food, to the service was great! Definitely recommend this spot if you love wine...
