Blue Fox Billiards Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

This was our first time visiting this establishment. It is a pool hall and a bar and grill. The entire place is smoking. There is a small room and I believe it has one pool table in it for non-smoking. Almost every night has something special during the week. Today was Tuesday so they had Taco Tuesday where they had dollar tacos, Tipsy Tuesday to where they had drink specials and trivia Tuesday which they were running a trivia night. I believe that only went until 8 p.m. but it was a very cool experience. After trivia comes karaoke so we had to leave but their food was okay they had a dish called Irish nachos which were chunks of potato with cheese tomato jalapenos and a drizzle of sour cream served with ranch for $6.99. They had buffalo wings and I got 10 for $10 and they had a variety of flavorings for the wings we got standard Buffalo but they had one called stupid hot. we also got a hand full of tacos. They were very small but they were only a dollar and came with a Ramekin of salsa and a Ramekin of sour cream. We also got two pictures of PBR. It was only $7 each. Our total with a generous tip was $52. The wait staff was a little slow but it was crowded because of the trivia night, it was not oppressivly loud. I have been coming there for years, and it was a friendly and amazing atmosphere where you could smoke and not worry about drinks limits. Food quality was fair and staff was friendly , the last few years the place became dangerous especially in the parking lots those daring enough to park on the connection strip between the upper and lower parking lot risk drunks bumping their cars and it happened a lot. They had cops going through their parking lot writing down license plates and tracking how long you where there to pull you over down the road. The fabric parking lot use to be a safe place away from the chaos to park but now the cops patrol their too and you can fined or towed .

But the worst experience there was I ran into some work friends I hadn’t seen in years there and they had been there a while so they invited me to their table, they end up ghosting towards the end of the night and when I go to close my tab at the end of the night they say I owe the whole tables bill 600 bucks when I had three drinks they said I could pay or they would call the cops, being too buzzed for cop interactions I was basically forced to pay felt like extortion.

After spending many nights there with work friends..I happen to choose to spend my birthday there with a bunch of friends. The DJ with whom i know very well offered to pay for my drinks on my birthday since we are friends prior to this establishment I later was told after that night they wouldn't allow him to pay my tab after he tried to pay it then i went back the following day and paid my tab even though I was disappointed and couldn't understand the reason behind this to find out that I am not allowed back because of an unpaid tab that I came back in and paid. It was unprofessional as well because I had to find this out through a text message that a bouncer had told someone else to text me and let me know this. After the money I have spent there and brought my friends to the outcome of being treated the way I was was extremely unfair and very negligent the way this was handled.
