So to start I booked two nights, well don’t stay here this place charged my credit card 3 times and keeps saying only charged once. They took all the money I had in my bank account and left with $5 to my name I had no money to eat or afford gas on my trip. Super 8 refuses to remedy the situation they owe me close to $300 and should refund my whole stay! My room was covered in roaches and I have photos, I called the front desk about that and all they did was give me a can of raid instead of moving me to another room. I do not recommend this place as they have frauded me and stole money along with the uncleanliness in the room, sheets not changed from previous guest, roaches and fleas, trash on the floor in the rooms that wasn’t vacuumed or cleaned by house keeping. Air filter on ac full of dust and almost caused me a ashtma attack. Will be taking action to obtain my money back. Please stay far away from this place. I’m loyal to Wyndham hotels but this is a disgrace and not clean and nothing done to remedy the situation and nothing done to fix where my card was charged multiple times. The bank statements don’t lie with time it was charged each time, and the fact that they keep saying the front desk worker we only charge once when I kept trying to show them I was charged multiple times. No effort to let me speak to management or somebody who could help me. Very disappointed and hurt because they left me with no money all of gone because they charged card multiple times. Like I said besides what they owe me my whole stay or half of it should be refunded as well. Will be contacting health department, better business bureau, and legal action if money issue cannot be resolved as it’s not just a few dollars. I worked very hard for my money not to be stolen from by the motel. They basically charged me for a whole week. and also there in violation of 18.2-258 Virginia code inhabiting a common nuisance. I just want to cry I have no money this week to pay my bills or anything what I had they took and stole. I’m begging for this to be remedied by super 8. I have even contacted my bank and they confirmed I was charged 3 times and they reported super 8 as fraudulent transactions. But that does not fix my money...
Read moreIf I cold give a (-) star I would give a (-10) star. The room was dirty, and the mirror in the bathroom still had tooth paste splatter on it. I was very tired from driving all day, so I overlooked all that. BUT, at 3:36 AM when got up to go to the bathroom, when I turned the light on there were two cockroaches on the sink. They immediately scurried away (1) under the sink, and the other through the hole in the wall under the mirror. I immediately packed up my things. When I grabbed the box lid with my dog’s food, there was another cockroach in that. I threw the lid on the floor, and the cockroach ran under the bed. Needless to say, I was packed up and out of there - in my car and on my way to my destination before 4:00 AM. When I arrived at my destination, I called and reporting the incident with Wyndam Customer Care Concern. The woman I spoke to was very professional, but advised that I needed to contact the General Manager (GM) at Super 8 Winchester. I did so, stating what my experience was and I request a full refund. I was advised by the GM that I should have come to the front desk and they would have given me another room….AT 3:36 AM. So, the room was filthy, with cockroaches, and no refund will be issued. The only good thing was the location is close to I-81. Otherwise, my suggestion is STAY AWAY!!! GO...
Read more"You get what you pay for" is the ideal phrase I would use to rate this Super 8. The check-in staff was polite and there are security cameras abound, but whether they work is unknown. Everything in the room, save for the wall mounted T.V., is incredibly outdated. One light didn't work. There was no plug for the tub, so a relaxing bath was out of the question. The toilet paper dispenser was empty, save for the cardboard tube and the inside of the drawers were filthy, so I question the competency of whomever cleans. The carpet felt a bit sticky on bare feet. The aroma of marijuana infused the air of the 2nd floor for hours right after we checked in. There was a large trash bag full of what appeared to be trash down the hall that remained there during our entire overnight stay. The interior walls need new paint and the entire place needs some basic updating and aesthetic maintenance. The "Continental Breakfast" included two types of dry cereal, milk, bread for the toaster (exposed for everyone to touch), styrofoam cups, cup covers, plates, bowls, packaged butter and jelly, coffee, tea bags, powdered creamer packets, sugar packets and orange juice. There are vending machines and an ice maker. It was an inexpensive overnight stay, so our expectations were very low to begin with, of which...
