Bubba's Shrimp Shack Grafton — Restaurant in Virginia

Walked in with only 3 other tables seated and waiting for food. We ordered at 11:55 and sat down to wait for fried shrimp and oysters basket and chicken fingers. And we waited. At about 20 minutes we asked why people who came in after us were getting their food. We were told different food cooks faster than others. At 25 minutes or so we asked again and we were told it's coming. Then 2 more orders went out and ours wasn't even sitting at the warmer yet. We asked for our money back. After 33 minutes of waiting, the owner or manager gave us our money back. She mentioned that one of the fryers was not working, which did nothing for us at this point since at least 5 tables of food went out while we sat and waited. The manager did not give us a hard time about giving us our money back, and as we were leaving they finally had our food ready and she had them prep it to go and gave it to us. I appreciate that.

At home we tried the food and were not impressed. The shrimp was good, but the oysters were overcooked. The chicken fingers were shaped like little dinosaurs, and didn't taste like chicken at all. Reminded us of Swanson TV dinner for kids. The fries were fine and the Mac and cheese was good.

Look, everyone has bad days and while we were sitting there, a cook carrying a big bin of shrimp from the cooler dropped it on the floor and they had to throw them all away. I hate writing bad reviews, and hope I can go back in the future and give them another shot at a...

Sadly, tonight I ordered the exact same thing for my mom that she always orders and the experience was not at all pleasant. I arrived 10 minutes after I placed my order online. The meal I was given was not my order and I didn't realize it until I got home to my mom's. Unfortunately, this is not the first time the order has not been correct. The food had been sitting for quite a while as everything was soggy. It was obvious that I was given someone else's order that had been sitting for a while. Two individuals that were behind the counter were less than pleasant and looked quite unkept. The young lady was packing up an order and was in a conversation with someone and used a curse word to describe someone's actions. Every time I've been to pick up an order the experience has been pleasant, although orders have been incorrect, but tonight was less than pleasant. Very disappointed. I went to the Bubba's Shrimp Shack on the advice of some family members who said that they had good seafood while I am in town. Unfortunately, while waiting for my order, a mahi sandwich, I overheard one of the employees saying to another employee that I was a "rich white kid". I'm not quite sure why he said this, as I merely had a polo and boat shoes on and was sitting quietly. I would like to point out that I am, in fact, not a "rich white kid", but a normal college student with a job like them. Given that he was pointing at me as he said it from across the room to his coworker, I decided to throw the food away when I arrived home out of fear of it being spit on, because that is the only explanation that I could deduce given his comment and the pointing. I was even respectful, as I always try to be when interacting with people, saying please and thank you to them. I'm just disappointed, as it looked decent, but I couldn't bring myself to eat it with there possibility of them spitting on it or doing...
