Cliffs service, impecable staff, friendly cake, beyond delicious

Placed an order 4 days before my wife's birthday. On the day of I arrived to the store which was super clean and organized and saw it sitting there behind the glass counter in all its glory. The baker had made it light purple and added a nice touch of paper butterflies which I didn't ask for but appreciated.

I was greeted by a man and then a woman who I later found out were a husband and wife duo. They informed me they just opened the bakery 3 months ago. They were extremely friendly and asked if the cake looked okay. I told them it was amazing!

Later that night when my wife and sister in law has the chance to try the cake they both said it was one of the best tres leches cakes they've ever had and was the highlight dish of the night (we had a meal at a fancy restaurant a few hours before).

Skeptical as always I tried it and needless to say I agreed. It was light, moist, and not overwhelming sweet as most sweets I've had. The icing was a light whipped cream unlike the sugary stuff you get from most bakeries. The cake as previously mentioned was moist, soaked In tres leches. The addition of fresh strawberries with a tres leches custard in the center was a nice touch. A bit of acidity and vibrancy.

My mother in law had a chance to try it the day after and she was raving about it too.

Don't bother. They don't need or want your business. I called last week to talk about a large catering order and they told me they couldn't help me unless I filled out their form online. I filled out their form online. It said it was submitted, I didn't hear back. I called back. The person I spoke with asked if I was the same person who called last week so they knew that I had reached out. At first they said the person who handles catering hadn't been in and that was why I didn't get a call yet. Then they said they couldn't help me, but then wanted to make sure they had my contact information. I gave them my name and they couldn't find my contact information. The lady repeatedly accused me of not filling out the form. I have literally no reason to lie about filling out a form. I gave her my email. My email is very long so I took my time giving it to her but she only took my first name and initial of my last name. After that I just gave up and said it was fine, thanked them for their time and I would just go somewhere else. Then she told me if I'd filled out the form properly they would have called back. Except they'd already said the reason why I didn't get a response was because the person wasn't there. It's just not worth the effort. If this is the service just trying to get a catering menu I can't even imagine how bad it would be to actually coordinate the...

I searched on Google for Pan de muerto and this place came up. I never find any so I called them. They said they had just made a fresh batch so I visited right away and I was super happy to have found a Mexican Bakery! With authentic Mexican sweet bread, candy, ice cream, coffee, cakes, sodas, juice, and even piñatas and folkloric dresses! It's a very rare find in northern Virginia let alone Falls Church or Tyson's. They were super friendly and I was able to chat with them about our culture. The coffee was excellent and their bread was amazing! I will be recommending this place to all my Mexican friends and family. Don't think about it, just go get...
