IHOP — Restaurant in Virginia

This place has signs posted that they were open 24 hours. When we arrived at 9pm the hostess informed us they were only taking to-go orders and that they closed at 10pm. A hand written sign on the door also informed that they were only accepting EXACT CHANGE or card transactions.

We were all very hungry and didn't really want to locate another restaurant so we decided to order to-go and take it back to the hotel.

The hostess took the order of the gentleman and his daughter before us, then went to clean tables. I noticed that there was one table seated, but later realized that this was two employees eating. When she came back to take our order finally she informed us that there was only her and one cook working. Fine. We ordered and proceeded to wait for it to be ready.

In the 20 minutes that we waited this is some of what I noticed: space heaters throughout the restaurant (heat was out) front computer was broken (hostess had to place order and ring us up in the back) men's room was filthy and floors sticky two broken benches at the entrance sign or something missing outside by entrance, but lag bolts still sticking up 2" out of the sidewalk dirty floors in the restaurant in general

When the cook finished or order and set it up to be expidited, she went over to socialize with the two employees still eating, andnever informed the hostess, who was cleaning tables. We finally had to get the hostess' attention in order to get our order.

My daughter and I had ordered hashbrowns as a side that came with our meals but ten minutes after we ordered we were informed that were out of hashbrowns. They asked if we wanted crispy breakfast potatoes instead. I agreed. When we got to the room we found that they have a TINY portion of breakfast potatoes for one side order and none for the other. Despite this, my daughter's breakfast burrito DID have hashbrowns inside it, but she didn't get her side. I also ordered an extra salsa cup for my pablano omlet, but did not get that either. While eating my omlet I discovered that it only contained two extremely small pablano peppers in it, so I am guessing they were out of those too?

What the hostess did give us was a quart paper bag jammed FULL of salt, pepper, ketchup, butter and syrup. There was enough in this bag to supply 5 or 6 orders the size of the one we placed, if not more. Seems a shame to waste all this condiments but we really aren't into ketchup or syrup sandwiches...

All in all, food was edible, but not up to expectations for an IHOP, and service and facilities were less than stellar. We won't revisit this particular IHOP if we find ourselves out...

My family and I went on a family vacation to Williamsburg recently and we decided to drop in at the ihop for lunch when we walked in to eat no one even acknowledged us the sign said wait for seating so we waited a good 10 minutes mind you this place wasn’t busy at all they’re was only two other families dining at the time and it must have been at least 7 people working and they saw us and just walked by when after waiting 10 minutes of standing one of the workers finally acknowledged my family standing there and yelled across the restaurant at us someone will be with you in a moment it only took them another 10 minutes while we watched them talk and joke around we each other yet we still gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered our food yet we didn’t want to eat there because of the way we were treated so we ordered to go and it took forever for the person to take the order she was playing around and taking to other people while she was taking to us almost an excuse me or anything we finally got our order in and we sat and waited maybe and hour another family came in and was helped right away yet we had been waiting an hour and 20 minutes to even be acknowledged or even get our order in and and things got worse when the family that come in alway after us go there food first my sister and I hadn’t even paid for our food so my sister told me she was going to go to the bathroom and if they still aren’t done or even come back to get the payment by the time she is done that we were going to leave and they hadn’t so we turned to the door and started to leave when girl saw us she said wait your guys food is almost ready and we said we didn’t want it anymore and stated that we were treated unfair and very rudely she didn’t even care she yelled at the chef and said cancel that food for them and she was like whatever we felt very uncomfortable in this store as mixed family we were treated poorly and apparently you can only go to this restaurant if you look like them the rating is zero but google made...

Worst I Hop I have ever visited!!! My wife and I went there on Wednesday morning Septmber 5th 2018 it wasn't to busy the hostess didn't seem to have a clue of what to do, we were the only people standing there and she didn't even bother to acknowledge the fact that we we there she finally got a waitress and told us to follow her we told her we would like to sit in a booth and she starts seating us at a table we told her we did not want a table we wanted a booth she became very aggravated and said we will have to go to a different section then she only had this table, she she walked us back to the hostess and she got us another waitress we followed her to the other side of the restaurant there was plenty of open booths on this side but they all were full of dirty dishes and none have been cleared except one which we learned was empty because the seats in the booth were torn all to pieces and taped over using clear packaging tape!!!! Not very comfortable if you are wearing shorts! But we didn't have much of a choice seeing as they were not going to be bothered to clean a table from the looks of things! We finally got to order food now at this point we both ordered steak omelettes they were extremely dry and bland and the pieces of steak were nothing but hard pieces of fat and gristle we didn't eat much of it and decided to leave, we got our ticket and went back to the horrible hostess station to pay after standing there for 5 minutes we asked the hostess who had been just standing there the whole time if this is were we pay she said yes let me get you someone, I do believe if we didn't say anything I would still be standing there now while she just stood there in her own little world! I will continue to go to I Hop in the future but not this one! Word of advice stay clear of this location horrible service, horrible food, and a very unclean restaurant in need of some upgraded booths that aren't...
