I was leaving Walmart and decided to treat myself to Starbucks since I had some cash on me. I don't drink coffee often but I had a long work day ahead of me. This location is always friendly and the long line moves pretty fast as I always go through the drive thru. Since this is in a shopping center the drive thru is shaped a little odd and you have to be careful when pulling off.
I pulled up to the window and handed the cashier my $5 bill. I had the change and was trying to hand this to her as well. Once she opened her hand she dropped the $5. I understand mistakes happen but it was the way she handled it. I tried to see if I could see the money so I could get out and she stated it was under the car. Still having her hand out for me to pay. She didn't seem remorseful or try to help me out as there was a long line and if I moved my car up the next car would move and this is a disaster for getting hit or causing an accident.
I would've appreciated if she said sorry don't worry about it or came out to stop the other cars so I could grab the money. I paid with my card and pulled forward to get my car out of the way. When I tried to get out to grab the money the cars kept pulling up and there was no way for me to grab it.
All in all it wasn't about the money but the way the cashier treated me and went back on her headset to take orders. I won't be coming back to...
Read moreThis issue is not unique to this location, but more a broader Starbucks issue. Waited 25 minutes for two drinks (an Americano and an iced Chai)...watched the counter consistently full of mobile orders sitting there waiting for customers to arrive amd pick them up. Meanwhile, 12 customers who ordered in the store are standing around waiting. Between the drive thru, mobile ordering, and in store ordering your staff cannot keep up. I don't blame them at all - they're doing the best they can, and all appeared to be gainfully occupied. This is purely a corporate, and I would also say franchise management issue. You have the ability to disable mobile orders, you don't though because you are afraid of losing mobile customers. I get it, but you, and Starbucks writ large, should just embrace it and eliminate in store ordering altogether. You know that once a customer pays in store you have them hostage until their drink arrives, meanwhile, your online POS continues to accept mobile orders. At least train staff to prioritize in store orders given that there were 15 mobile orders sitting on the counter for at...
Read moreFull blown chaos! The worst starbucks experience I have ever encountered. Arrived 9:03am. 2 people in front of me. 5 baristas behind the counter. Listening to orders prior to mine, They had no brewed coffee left. The oven was smoking of burnt plastic. Due to the lack of brewed coffee, at 9:14 I ordered a coconut latte with an extra shot and 2 eggs sous vide . As the gal called my name for my breakfast order(which was not mine but had my name on it), she informed me the oven was not working properly and was not able to get my food order. As she was explaining this and I was letting her know my frustrations about my experience, I am watching the chaos of an unattended espresso machine with steamed milk overflowing everywhere. As i was directed to get a refund on my breakfast only, the scalding milk was of course poured into a cup and my name was called for the beverage It was so hot and flat and overfilled it spilled as I opened it. Priorities were clearly on speed and expiditing the drive thru customers vs counter or customer service. At 9:27, She informed ME to have a better day. Oh...
