I've been coming here for about one to two years now and I will say I absolutely enjoy this place. An AYCE meat place is amazing, this place isn't for anyone that has a stomach as big as their pinky. They have many options for Menu A or Menu B. I usually just go with the cheapest menu because I don't like eating the seafood grilled. I always get brisket and spicy pork belly. I recommend eating your meat with the small salad bowl they offer so you don't fill up on rice too quickly and your definitely can get your monies worth. The steam egg is a great addition along with the spicy rice cakes and you can't forget the flavored soju. I've only had the mango one but it taste great and it helps with the food going down. Overall the food, I would give it a five. The staff, I don't know how I feel about them. It depends on the day and who you get, some of them are friendly and smile while they help you out at your table. And there are some that looks like they just dislike what they do. I give them a three. It's in a fairly large shopping center so there is a lot of available parking. Inside it's loud in the evening time so be prepared to shout. If you're voice doesn't project you might want to make sure you sit close to the edge of table so the server can hear you. They play kpop music videos, sometimes a kpop star would do an English cover. The environment is clubby but it's fun. It's a great place to go if you're starving and can eat an entire cow. I would rate it a five. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone.

I should’ve checked how busy the place is on Thursdays around 8 before I came here with a party of 3. Upon entering, they said we had to wait 20 mins so we go back to the car and I start watching YouTube after setting a timer for 20. Timer rings and still no text received. We wait for 26 mins until we decide to go in and ask. Thats when they allow us to go in. This is our second time visiting and it seems like Covid Protocols have been lifted. Great place to hang out with friends and family as I see a lot of them here. The K-pop music matches the environment very well but I cant really say the same for K-rap. We ordered briskets and the quality of meet looks very questionable at first glance, but after cooking it they taste fine. I guess not all meat is kept in the same condition though as one of the brisket orders gave me a stomachache. The Iron Age Soy steak though, let me warn you, DO NOT try it with the sauce that contains salt as it is nasty. If you try it with any sauce you wont taste it as the Soy sauce overrides the taste. At first we felt rushed as the manager kept trying to get our orders fast. But it was understandable as there were many people waiting outside. Once they cleared out the manager never visited us again. I was disappointed how the spicy pork bulgogi would stick onto the cooking tray which caused it to be a bit over cooked. Bathrooms were clean but the second toilet stall for the mens looked like someone tried to break in there. The lock is loose and it looks like someone tried to kick the door open like they were expecting loads of cash. Otherwise the area is mostly clean and busy. Also, Iron Age, I think adding soup to the menu would attract a lot more people. I get that the place is a grill but some Korean soup goes well with meat . Area Hygiene: 9/10 Food quality: 4/10 Food Taste: 8/10 Environment Friendliness: 8/10 Staff: 7/10 Overall rating: 3.6

This would have been a 4 star review but due to the service we had received, I am rating Iron Age a 2 star restaurant. I am a repeat customer but because of the services tonight, I am not sure that I will be back. Our primary server acted as if we were lucky to be there and he was pretty short with us, to the point we were afraid to ask him questions. At one point we asked another server if we could sample everything on the menu at once and he told us he couldn't bring more food unless we finished what was already at the table. I have never been to a "all you can eat" place that requires you to finish everything before they can bring more items from the menu. If you are combating waste then go ahead explain to customers your policy prior to us sitting down or charge the left over and let people take the leftover home. Honestly if Iron Age was trying to increase revenue maybe the smart thing was to bring everything out at once. Our server ended up bringing the sea food side dish out 3 times because each time there were only exactly 3 shrimps and 2 squids. It was a waste of his time and ours. He could have just bring everything out at once and go help other tables. We could have finish eating quicker and let other customers take our table. Iron Age takes patronage for granted and assume there is no need to earn your business. Overall, I didn't expect a "high end" looking K restaurant such as Iron Age to provide poor service. The services completely killed the K pop music and posh decor ambiance. Iron Age might as well save it's interior decoration money, lower prices and be a hole in the wall establishment.

Always had a nice experience at Iron Age. We frequented this location in Centreville and in Annandale many times in the past and each time we have consistently great service. Ask for extra meats, banchan, rice, drinks, sauce refills and the server is prompt to deliver it. Similar to other Korean BBQ spots, Iron Age has one lunch menu and one dinner menu, both are all you can eat. Dinner has everything lunch offers with the inclusion of other meats and seafood. We highly recommend the brisket as it is tender and not at all very chewy or thick. Dip your chopsticks into the seasoned sesame oil, use them to pick up a piece of meat and dip it in their sweet soy sauce, and eat with a bite of rice and kimchi, that's perfection in my eyes. Pork belly and squid are great choices as well. The japchae is also recommended. They also have an assortment of drinks, including some specialty soju drinks perfect for a gathering with your friends. The decor and ambiance is like an industrial karaoke bar with lots of TVs playing KPop, and sound levels are not very high other than the beautiful sound of things grilling and sizzling. The overall atmosphere is enjoyable and not very in your face so it should be just fine to bring kids and people sensitive to sensory cues. I would rank Iron Age high in my list of Korean BBQ spots in Northern VA, can't wait to drop by again!

We wanted to try a different BBQ place from the usual in the other mall across the street. From the outside you don't get the load blaring music but once the doors open at least I can say it wasn't K-pop? The restaurant is composed of open tables and banquette seating along the edge. We go the seating along the edge and I think it really helped tone down the music. The menu here is simple. Pick a price range and eat away! You have the $25 or $20 option. The later has fewer selections so I'm sure most people will just go for the more expensive one. The quality of meat and selection are good. There are some missing selections like Galbi and for this price point you don't get the small sides or even kimchi(I thought that was just standard!) one usually get at Korean restaurants. You get a refillable bowl of salad and some dipping sauces. You can order three selection not including the rice etc. The pancake was okay. Not as good as others and also a filler so I wouldn't order it unless you are really hungry. The steam eggs was good and the table definitely liked the iron steak. Nice and tender. Overall, I'll have to say Iron Age is a bargain compared to other BBQ joints. Yes, you do miss out of the banchan but hey that is all filler and for all you can eat meat extravaganza you might as well skip it anyway.

Discovered this place while driving through the parking lot. Couldn't tell the type of restaurant except it looked a Japanese hibach style restaurant. It is a Korean Bbq place and a very good one. When we walked in around 2pm place was pretty empty as expected.. The waiter explained to us that we get to choose up to 3 meats at a time. So our first order was soy chicken, shrimp, and spicy pork bulgogi. The soy chicken was a home run, so tasty and delicious. The shrimp was a let down, it was not marinated and they give you only 3 shrimp with the head and shells on. The waiter used the cutting shears and cut off the heads before cooking them. The spicy pork bulgogi was very good. We ordered a drink was big enough to share called The Flavored Soju (melon bar). The second go round we ordered iron age steak, seasoned steak and pork steak. They were all marinated well and tasted awesome. The seasoned steak as turns out is the wait staff's favorite, I can see why, nice seasoned piece of steak, tender and not much fat. As part of your meal you get a small bowl of white rice and 3 different pickled radish and a salad. So sounds great right, and you ask yourself how much will this set me back it's $25 per person all you can eat.
