I visited on a Thursday evening to get a pair of sandwiches to eat as my dinner that night. The online ordering process proved rather easy to navigate and schedule a pickup time. I appreciated the level of customization available, and I took advantage of eliminating certain items and going light on others. My order was ready on time, even after the helpful staff checked when I arrived to see if a substitution was okay (they had run out of wheat bread and tried to contact me unsuccessfully). The men working were courteous and friendly, almost making me feel like I was in a neighborhood sandwich place instead of one of the larger chains. I would feel comfortable having future orders filled by that team of guys.
My order consisted of one sandwich combination of their Hunter’s Club sandwich and a pickle, another sandwich combination of their Country Club sandwich and chips, and a pair of water bottles and cookies. The total bill came to a fraction under $30 including tax, so with current prices I felt as though I received a decent value for my purchase. The sandwiches were made as requested without mayo and adding hot peppers and cucumbers and easy onion, lettuce, and cheese. The cold cuts tasted fresh, especially the roast beef, and were good portions without having to request extra. While the white rolls were fine, I am still curious to see how their wheat bread tastes. The hot peppers definitely add some heat as desired. Both sandwiches were tasty in total and did not feel too heavy. The pickle was a good size and had the requisite crispness on the outside. Chips and cookies tasted fine as well. Overall I thought I had a good dinner for the money and could see myself visiting again...
Read moreIt’s been ages since I’ve been to Jimmy John’s. This reminder was a good reason why. I got a Thai chicken wrap, and a regular Italian sub cold cut. The wrap was old and crusted around the side, the lettuce was brown, the chicken was cold and the peanut sauce was drizzled so heavy it was chokingly sweet. All in all, it was a mess, not tasty, not fresh. So I’m hoping the redeeming value is in the Italian sub. After taking these photos of the wrap I open the Italian. I take one bite of the end, but the bread is so hard, and there’s so much sauce/mayo and soft ingredients that tomato lettuce mayo, some salami shoot out the other side like a rocket. Immediately in the trash with that as well. Everyone in the store is nice and enough but, seems like they don’t really want to be there or put any care in their food, and they just serve what they have just to get a customer in and out the door. Will not be...
Read moreSubs are good. However it’s extremely frustrating that if you do a mobile order your chips are not included in the bag. This makes it way too easy to grab your bag and leave thinking everything is included, since that’s how it is with every other restaurant you do a mobile order with. However at least some heads up that you have to grab the chips on your own would be nice.
Even more frustrating is the last 3-4 times I ordered here and picked up any time after 8 they had already dumped out the tea and said they weren’t serving any more for the rest of the night. I’ll end up going to a different Jimmy Johns up the road...
