My fiance and I came for lunch the other day. He loves seafood and I have been waiting to take him here. The interior is hip and pleasant. Staff was very nice.
My fiance had the salmon and I ordered the tuna with the berry sauce. We also ordered the quesabirria to split.
What we liked: Environment is really nice. Service is really good. The salmon has a great flavor and is very tender. The rice is cooked perfectly. The berry sauce is delicious on the tuna and I would recommend people try it.
What we didn't like as much: My fiance had a minor complaint of the portion size of the sides. I was also a little surprised the quesabirria had less meat in it than I am used to. The tuna was listed as seared ahi tuna and I honestly thought it would be served rare. However, it came out well done, so I was a bit bummed. I did not ask for it to be redone because I didn't specify, so felt it was more my fault for assuming.
Overall, we really liked the flavors and service. I would recommend this as an upscale place to eat lunch or dinner. And actually want to go back to order the tuna again, except rare 😅, because flavor-wise it was...
Read moreThis is a newly opened restaurant focusing on Mexican coastal/seafood dishes. It's an old Shoney's restaurant, and the transformation is remarkable with a beautiful interior but also lightheared with fun murals on the walls. The dishes are more upscale (as are the prices) than your "average" Mexican restaurant, and they aren't throwing baskets of chips at you, but they are offered and tasty. They have a very large menu (but no kids menu) but it is very seafood focused. My wife and daughter had the chicken and steak street tacos, and they found they lost any distinct flovor. The whole fried snapper, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious. The shrimp and cheese stuffed empanades were also very good. As of right now (March 2023 they don't have an ABC license, so no alcohol drinks, but the bar area is there and waiting. I hope this place catches on as an upscale dining option not buried in the...
Read moreId been passing by this new restaurant for weeks and kept thinking, Ive got to stop and try them out one of these days. Welp.. My kids took me there as a surprise for my birthday and it was great. We were seated right away, the place was decorated really cute, and had this grass wall that said "Hanging with my boo-rito" very, very cute.
My entrée was a shrimp quesadilla, it was good but had some odd type of cheese, that tasted okay but was a weird consistency. The one thing I didnt like was the fact that they dont provide the free chips and salsa that Im accustomed to getting at a restaurant. We just passed on it since we werent starving. My drink was Sangria, and it was really tasty. My son had the shrimp tacos, and said they were really good.
I would definitely try them again and see what other...
