Today is the start of me traveling further from the DC area to review!! This spot was on my timeline, it looked good, it’s in Richmond VA, so I took the flight (I drove). Let’s GO!! . Where I am: @hogsheadcafe . Location Reviewed: 8902 W. Broad St., Henrico V.A. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Half n Half ($3.99 half ice tea/lemonade). Sweet, & tasty!!

STAMP!! Their Peach Bellini ($6 Prosecco, sparkling wine, & peach). Crisp, & palate cleansing!!

DELICIOUS. Their Hog Chili ($10.99 with beef, pork, onions, peppers, baguettes, & beans). I needed a tad bit more flavor to this.

STAMP!! Their Mint Julep ($8). Strong, & minty. STAMP!! Their Strawberry Limeade ($9.99 for 1 quart, & it’s freshly made). GET BOTH OF THESE!!

STAMP!! Their Hog Wings ($18.99 6 whole wings with their signature Hog Sauce). Spicy hot, & well cooked!!

LIKE THAT! Their Loaded Tots ($13.99 with Hog Sauce, bacon, onion, & cheddar cheese). Fresh toppings, & hearty!!

STAMP!! Their Fried Dill Pickles ($11.99 beer battered fried pickles with a dill dip). Crispy with a tangy dip!!

DELICIOUS. Their Hog Dog ($16.99 a fried bacon wrapped jumbo beef hot dog with pulled pork, slaw, & sweet potato fries with maple dipping sauce). Good…that’s it. STAMP the fries & dip!!

STAMP!! Their Big Philly ($22.99 shaved ribeye, with cooper sharp, fried onions, & hot peppers on a seeded roll). GET THIS!! That’s it.

LIKE THAT!! Their Shrimp Po’Boy ($22.99 with lettuce, tomato, onion, remoulade, & dill pickle). Nice crisp, thick shrimp, & tasty remoulade!!

DECENT!! Their Nashville Hot Chicken Tacos ($17.99 three tacos with a Bleu cheese slaw, pickled onions, & cilantro). The bleu cheese slaw was strong on these.

STAMP!! Their Hog Sampler ($30.99 with a half a rack of smoked pork ribs, pulled pork, mac n cheese, & baked beans). Tender Ribs, well seasoned pulled pork, spicy beans, & DECENT mac.

STAMP!! Their Field Green Salad ($13.99 with mandarin oranges, candied pecans, bleu cheese crumbles, & balsamic vinaigrette). A surprisingly tasty salad!!

STAMP!! Their Chocolate Lava Cake ($8.99 with vanilla ice cream). Chocolaty, warm, & sweet!! . Customer Service: On Point. . Recommendations: Get what I STAMPED!!

I'm here. When we sat down the table was super sticky. It still had Wing residue all over the top of it that got on my arms. It was pretty gross, we asked him to wipe it down they did. They got rid of some of it but it was still there. I recommend bringing a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie you don't mind if you plan on touching the tables.

On top of that it was advertised as half price wings and half price beer all day, The waitress then attempted to tell me that it was not half price beer and I had to point it out to her in order to get the price. Caused by this country and then when I finally got my check she had charged us full price on wings, I also had to send that back to get that corrected and point out that it was half price wings... A guests should not have to correct or tell an employee how to do their job.

And after the waitress tried to overcharge me twice, she then added $2 for a 2 oz ramekin of sour cream, and $0.50 for a 2 oz ramekin of blue cheese. Neither of the these were discussed with us beforehand, The waitress had asked if we needed any blue cheese or anything and we said yes and that was the end of the conversation.

The place has pretty good food but waitress we had this time around was very standoffish and I was not happy with the overall experience as a result.

I will be going back simply because of the food but if I'm sat at this waitresses section I will request to be changed to a different location because this is not the experience I want to pay to have.

Most of the waitresses I've been there and had experiences with were great but this one must have been fairly new, and seemed to be focused more on nickel and diming the bill than actually providing good service. After I sent the bill back to be corrected the first time she took 10 minutes to come back and get it. It was fairly obvious she was intentionally making us wait because she disappeared as if she had taken her break while she knew we were...

I Went to the bar to enjoy a drink and appetizer, the bartender was an older woman who was attentive & provided well service. I moved to a booth not long after to enjoy a meal with my sister, our waitress was young & very new. We had to flag down help from whoever we could see, the receptionist came to our aid & my sister asked for a refill on her lemonade, she agreed to bring one back. A few moments later our waitress comes back to the table to let us know there is a fee (the exact price of the original drink) and the receptionist was fake cleaning the table behind us (which my sister and I had already seen get cleaned by another older worker) so since she was ease dropping I politely asked why did she not mention this to us when we were inquiring a refill for the lemonade. The young receptionist stated she doesn’t know the pricing of items on the menu so I asked her why didn’t you just say let me check for you instead of agreeing to bring back a lemonade & she stated because that’s not her job. I’ve been to numerous restaurants where all staff regardless of job title knows the pricing and rules of the establishment & if something was unclear they would check in with a staff member who knew before giving a definite answer. We politely declined paying full price for another lemonade and asked for our tab. But the issue truly began when the young receptionist proceeded to go to her other coworker’s at the bar, which was in my sister and I viewpoint, to talk about us. She pointed and her coworkers were staring at us with nasty looks until we left. The Philly cheese stake was dry, barely any cheese & unseasoned. I simply would not return to this establishment because the food & due to unpleasant staff who does not know their own menu or policies. Regardless of personal feelings, talking about customers while still in their presence is bad service...
