We've hosted lots of events at Royal Palm Sterling. Under the previous ownership, everything was handled with professionalism, respect, and great service. We were always proud to support this Afghan owned business. Unfortunately, our most recent event under the new management was a completely different experience-disappointing, frustrating, and frankly unacceptable. From the start, customer service was poor. The staff seemed unprepared and unprofessional, with no clear coordination or attention to detail. When we raised valid concerns, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, the new owner became aggressive and disrespectful. The most upsetting part was when he pointed his finger at a female member of our family and spoke to her in an extremely rude and inappropriate tone. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in any business setting-and especially shameful coming from someone within our own Afghan community, where respect for guests and elders is a cultural value we all expect to be upheld. As for the food, it was was far below the standard we were promised. The quantity was not enough for the number of guests we paid. It's heartbreaking to see how far the standards have dropped under the new management. We will not be returning, and we strongly urge others to think twice before booking this venue for any important occasion. Respect, service, and honesty matter-sadly, none of that was shown to...
Read moreThey have all day buffet, which is impressive. Not many desi/Indian places have non-veg buffet for dinner. This place does and that makes this place stand out. (My overall rating should be 3.5. However, I couldn’t see an option for 3.5)
The dishes have good spice levels, but somewhere the taste is not up to the mark. Causing a running nose doesn’t mean it’s super tasty. That’s been my experience for the past few times.
I keep going back there for their Paya soup. I genuinely enjoy it. (As the reviews are subjective, please take this with a grain of salt) There maybe different flavors of Paya soup. However, out of all their dishes, Paya soup stands out. (They don’t have Paya soup in their buffet until after Eid Al Fitr). They have Iftar buffet everyday during Ramadan.
There are roughly 16 items in the buffet (Chicken Soup, chat/salad, Pakora, Tandoori chicken, Paya soup, Chicken curry, lamb curry, Chicken biryani, Spinach dish/ palak, Dal, Chana masala, 2 desserts [Gulab Jamun and Halwa] and desi chai). (Price tag : 18$ plus tax per person)
They serve the bread/ naans at the table. Service is...
Read moreIftar weekend buffet: chicken karahi, chicken biryani, channai, bhindi were good and their best dishes. Friendly customer service. Haleem needed help; daal, meat, and watery, not blended well and lacked spices & kick. Lemonade had black salt, ruining the taste expected. Chicken tandoor was average, and needed more spice. Rooafsa was good. Pakoras were room temperature and were plain tasting, not memorable, lacking flavor and heat. Channa chaat had no spices and tasted plain and below average as a result. Chai was below average unfortunately. Kheer was very good. Overall, this iftar buffet would benefit with spicier flavors, with fresh pakoras and fresh hot naans served only upon request to each table to maximize how certain dishes are experienced and not have them sitting and get cold. A few more of their best dishes should be added and promoting kids under 12 eat free would really add value to the $25 price per person, and drive much needed traffic. For now, the amount of dishes and quality did not justify over the normal $15 weekend buffet price. Recommend trying during a non-iftar weekend for...
