Read moreI've been a big fan of Taco Zocalo since discovering their first location in Reston around 2017. There really was no decent halal mexican/latino dining option in the area before then. The Ashburn location is just as good as the original and fortunately this new Sterling spot is too! Consistency is key.
I love just about everything on the menu with beef but the birria tacos dipped in consome are absolutely superb! Nothing else comes close though I also enjoy the elote, pulled beef chimichanga, steak quesadilla, and flour tacos with brisket or chorizo along with their awesome house-made salsas. Gotta end with the tres leches and churro :-)

When I called initially to inform the team that my order was missing the consume, the lady on the phone took a so what attitude. My tacos were also extremely cold. The beans were not what I was used to receiving either. I was placed on hold for 25 mins and then was hung up upon.
I went in the next day to speak to a manager and was hassled by the cashier for doing so.
