Update September 2024 Park: street or garage options nearby Had reservations for 6pm on a Monday evening but didn't seem to need them, still plenty of seating. After I was sat, it took quite a bit to be greeted after being seated, only after I matched eyes with someone who ended up being our waitress did she say "I'll be there in a bit". The best part of this meal was actually the drink! I got the zero proof dragonfruit mojito! It was very refreshing! My friends got the peach and strawberry homemade lemonades but said their drinks were not chilled even if it had ice in it? Food: we all shared * pan seared salmon: very dry. We actually didn't end up finishing half of it, garnished with on it was better. * q special: thought it was kind of dry, bland, and subpar overall, wouldn't order it again * apple pear salad: I actually enjoyed this -it had good flavor but I felt some of that "freshness factor" was missing- also felt like the salad was warm For the experience and taste, didn't feel the $$ was worth it. Bill came to about $80 before tip I'm usually a huge fan of matchbox...but my visit this time was subpar. It was my first time at the mosaic location. It was very busy on a friday night, which we expected. We self-seated ourselves at the bar and were not attended to until about 15-20 minutes passed. We came for their happy hour which was until 7pm. They didn't have any happy hour menus...so we looked it up online on the website. When the waitress finally came, I asked her if this was the correct menu--she said it varies by location. She also checked on us once throughout our entire stay after she received our drink orders. We would have ordered more food, but she never came to check on us...so we asked another waitress walking by to give us our check after an hour and a half. I ordered the $5 meatballs--which is 3 meatballs and a bread. We also got $5 cheese fries and the 3.6.9 sliders for $6. The sliders come with a side of fries or onion straws. We got bold rock ciders for $5--which was not bad. Pros: food taste was good Cons: service, price for quality & quantity of meatballs

I was mostly satisfied with this restaurant but there were some things on which I couldn't settle. So I ordered arancini, cream of crab soup, and spinach and artichoke dip. Good news: They made the arancini perfectly. If they use canned tomatoes, they use quality since it didn't taste like cheap, sour tomatoes, and the arancini itself was fantastic. No notes. The cream of crab soup was so good when you got to the bottom of the bowl. I can't quite describe it, but whether they used tomato paste or just sherry to brighten the flavor, it settled to the bottom of the bowl. At the top was just cream and crab, which isn't a very interesting flavor. I'll take that on me for not stirring my bowl before eating. The spinach and artichoke dip suffers from what a lot of restaurants do: put artichokes and spinach in a pot, add cream cheese and other cheeses, and some cream (maybe). When it comes out, if you don't have an acid to cut through all that fat, all you're left with is texture, a wad of melted cheese, and that's it. Please add diced tomatoes to this for some contrasting flavor. Last, the service was great and the atmosphere featured a nice interior and brick decor. What put me off was poppy music that screamed "please be distracted by this music along with these dim lights so your sense of taste is dullled.". The music completely clashed with it all. All in all, they do have great food, but it was a...different experience. Note: I sometimes have photos of food I've already eaten because I'm lazy. Or you can take it as "ok, he's actually tried the food prior to a review."

My boyfriend and tried visited the new location. We had an amazing experience 🙂our server was Bryon and he had an amazing personality and made us feel welcomed. We tried HH drinks and they were refreshing, they are not top tier cocktails, but fair considering the price. The location is brand new, clean and updated. The best part was the food, my bf is a harsh critique but he was highly satisfied. To start we ordered the spinach dip and pork chop apps which we were served quickly and the perfect temperature. For dinner we order chicken Alfredo and the Red Snapper. I would absolute recommend that everyone tries the Red Snapper, my absolute favorite part was the zucchini/carrots/squash side it is served with. Great parking, great building, and beautiful decor. Cons: I would recommend alcoholic beverages delivered quicker, and more water service. Which could have easily been due to the fact that they are brand new, so the will naturally improve. However, I would recommend prebussing. Servers and managers walked by the plates we set on the edge of the table. And no one even acknowledged it, no table visits or checking in from anyone aside from our server. Which is odd considering it is a new opening, shouldn’t management make an effort to check-in with all guests? Overall, we highly recommend! Great HH, great value, beautiful atmosphere and great server Brayon! Any cons are most likely due to the introductory phase and the team is in, and will naturally improve with time. (I think) 🙂

According to the receipt, our server was Dennis G., I wouldn't know his name for sure because he didn't even introduce himself upon walking to our table or at any point in time. To say the least, the service my family and I got was an embarrassment to this establishment. Our water was served by another employee, and after waiting for over ten minutes for our server to make it to our table, his first words were "are you ready to order" as he was itching to walk away. I expressed we were and after the first person placed their order, his next question was "is that it" while clearly there were 4 people sitting at the table. I kindly said no and proceeded to place my order, while his gestures still implied he was ready to walk away, I kept my patience in tact, and gestured to my children to place their order. We were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink, nor were we given straws even though my children's cup of water had a cover on them. But no biggie you might say - yes, I thought the same but upon asking for straws as he was walking by, he kept walking as he responded with a "yes" and came back with two straws. Great! But, I was expecting four. Fine, didn't make a big deal of it and moved on. Our food was served by other employees as well, that were very kind, which is understandable as server get busy. We were so hungry after a long day of shopping and didn't even notice that there were no utensils nor napkins at the table. I graciously walked to the next table and got my own utensils wrapped in napkins. When he walked by, I asked for extra napkins and at this point, you can really tell we were a bother in his world. He dropped off a stack of napkins and walked off. I wanted to order more food, again as he was walking by, I asked for an order of fries, he didn't as much as stop to respond, he kept walking as he said "sure". After finishing my food, I was ready to get out of there but no sign of my server as we stared at empty plates sitting there for maybe another 15 minutes. He finally came by and asked to take the empty plates, he also asked if we wanted desserts, just to size up if he should bring our bill; at this point, I just had an empty stare for him after saying no to the dessert. He dropped off our bill and started to refill water for the people at the next table who haven't even ordered food yet, but mind you he as served them drinks other than water and has been to their table 3 times within the 10 minutes they were sitting there. This is the point I decide he absolutely did not deserve a tip. You can tell he didn't lack serving abilities, he just didn't like our table for whatever reason he had conjured up in his head. I didn't see him again as another employee so kindly came by to take care of our payment because he noticed we were waiting to pay. This is not the first time I have been to this Matchbox, actually, I'm a regular as I live 200 feet away in the neighboring building, but it will be my last. There are an amazing selection of restaurants all walking distance from my home, why go to one where I feel judged for spending my money. I have worked in the service industry for years and I know why certain servers act this way. This is a complete disgrace, Matchbox! I deserve not only an apology, but a...

I made a reservation online using Open Table and had requested a specific table to reserved for my large party. I also called the day of our reservations (this morning) and spoke to someone at the restaurant, who assured me that we would get the large booth/table near the entrance of the restaurant after I confirmed the change in reservation time and party that I was reserving for. When I arrived at the restaurant, I discovered that the booth had been given away to another party and that my request hadn't been considered even though I spoke to someone at the restaurant in the morning who told me that we would be able to sit a particular table. After the mistake on their part and the staff tried apologizing to us for the mistake, the wait staff was good in checking in w/us to find out if everyone had arrived from our party and if we were ready to order. We ordered but then, we ended up waiting for an hour for our food to arrive when we saw a number of other people who were seated after us and ordered after us receive their food before us. Not only that but the wait staff miscommunicated w/the kitchen or the kitchen didn't understand that one of our party was lactose intolerant and so, they had made his dish for him and then had to take it back to the kitchen. He wasn't told that the dish he ordered had dairy in it until management came over to tell him. So, then he had to order a salad. Not only that, but another member of our party ordered salad w/chicken on it and didn't receive it with chicken on it. The wait staff had to take her salad back and put chicken on it.

This situation tonight was intolerable and unprofessional and considering how much the dishes on the menu costs, it wasn't worth it for us to go through what we did tonight and pay as much as we did. The food is good but NOT THAT GOOD. And they WEREN"T THAT BUSY that they couldn't have attended to our needs properly which they didn't.

I'm never stepping foot back in this establishment again. It was beyond...
