SAVE YOUR MONEY AND EXPERIENCE BY GOING TO THE PLENTY OF OTHER CAFES IN MOSAIC !! This place USED to be a coffee shop with baristas that are well educated in preparing and serving coffee. The egg and cheese on croissant from here used to be one of my favorites. I ordered it on door dash a few weeks ago and the eggs were not a freshly cracked egg that use to be served on the sandwich. Instead it tasted like plastic chunky weird matter. The cheese quality isnāt the same either. Used to be sharp yet creamy and now itās just a very tasteless elastic slice. The sandwich had butter from the eggs I assume but it was just greasy not enjoyable. The word was when I came in to the cafe. I brought my mother wanting to get some food and drink. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE TO START OFF. The girl at the counter had no idea what I meant by putting chives in the egg sandwich which by the way I specified because in the recent trips and orders on line THEY ALWAYS FORGET TO PUT CHIVES. I asked for an egg sunny side up and scrambled for my mother. The lady just stood there not knowing what to say and then said itās only scrambled. I just agreed and continued with my order. The order total for two sandwiches and two drinks turned out to be $44???!?!? For the quality now itās not worth it at all. My moms cafe at lair came and we are both very polite people so we didnāt know what to do when the coffee was basically undrinkable. I came to the counter apologetically and explained that the taste was far from ok. The barista then asked me two questions instead of being hospitable and and offer a solution. None the less I said the coffee didnāt tatste right and the other like three employees just shook their head almost as if they expected me to say that. I finally got my math a latter went to my seat and opened our sandwiches. We ordered our egg and cheeses on buiscuits this time. What a big mistake! The biscuit was clearly not fresh and all around fry and doughy at the same time. They forgot my chives that I asked the lady at the counter for. Also I found out when I drank my matcha latte she didnāt ask me if I wanted sweetened or unsweetened. She just put in the order and my moms came sweetened and mine came unsweetened. I will never make the mistake of giving this coffee shop that used to be a go to for me another chance . I havenāt complained this far because I had hopes but the food and drink and service has just gotten worse!!! As well as the staff has just turned into young college kids who donāt know how to be hospitable or serve the customer properly. Iām a young college kid and I donāt think itās solely based on age but the shop is clearly just trying to cut costs and corners with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a regular here, and this is second time having the same issue.
Today, I ordered a large coffee. Asked a lady (blond w/ a hat) to scan QR code to add a new card. She said I didn't have to pay; I had enough to cover. I didn't understand, checked my account, and she accidentally used up my points; didn't even ask if I wanted to use points for today's order.
I told her NICELY that I didn't mean to use points, was trying to add a new card. And she gave excuses rather apologizing. I didn't even hear she was sorry for the used points.
Yet, it was okay - all people make a mistake.
She talked to her manager, canceled the order, and I paid with my new card, so I thought my new card linked to my account.
Re-checked the account, the used up points didn't come back but I gained points for today's purchase only (this what I thought at the shop). So, I showed her my account and said I didn't receive the points back, but received today's purchase.
I was flustered with missing points and didn't understand what was going on. I might be strongly insisted that the added value was today's purchase. But she could've explained nicely in calm so that I could understand correctly.
The reality was she started showing her attitude although I was being kind & nice to her.
Feedback for today's visit: I can't believe Mom & Pop hired someone who shows attitude to their customers. This isn't the first time having the same issue. I probably come back to use points (forever last), but whoever owns or manages the coffee shop should train their staff properly & teach them not to give a fuss to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNOT WORTH YOUR MONEY IN THIS ECONOMY. I was disappointed with the service. I came on Wednesday morning, so no rush. I ordered a latte, biscuit, and soft serve. Latte was tasty, but the biscuit was not good and had no southern flavor, youāre better off getting it from elsewhere.
The biscuits were sitting out in the open and they simple warmed one up. I waited about 10 mins and it wasnāt ready. Asked an employee and they completely forgot it was ordered. Again, there was no rush when I went in. Not sure if this is how itās normally done at similar joints.
With the soft serve, I ordered their seasonal vanilla with their blackberries jam sourced from Hanover, VA. As a Hanover local, I was excited to try this, however, they were seemingly āout of the blackberry jamā. Just a speculation, but Iām sure that was code for āWe donāt want to make the blackberry jam right now even though weāve been open only a couple hoursā. Reading other reviews, it seems they source their soft serve ingredients from farms and such, but I paid $12 to NOT get their premium jam. I subbed for a sorry excuse of mango jam which I assume they use for their specialty matcha (too sweet imo). It was quite distasteful paired together. I dislike wasting food, but this went straight to the trash can.
Employees are also selectively nice. The person in front of me got a cortado on the house, because she couldnāt decide what to get, which is fine, but they conveniently forgot about the biscuit I ordered.
