Mi Casita Restaurant — Restaurant in Charlottesville

I always thought of this restaurant as bland regarding seasonings, but my dad and now deceased mom loved this place. We ate here recently on my deceased mom's birthday and dad remembered they had a different salsa than they typically serve with the chips you have to ask for, and man is that stuff hot! Their regular salsa just tastes like tomato sauce. Not bad, just not remarkable compared to some of the Mexican restaurants...and this is not a Mexican restaurant. I've learned that Salvadorian food is more mild that some other Latino food.

We all liked our meals and the service was great for dinner. Granted, the place wasn't packed. In the past, my wife and I found getting in and out of here quickly for lunch was a challenge. Service was good, people were great, it was just slow to get your food, etc.. Our server was very attentive even at the time for paying our check this time. We were served in a very timely manner for this dinner.

It's a menu I struggle to make a choice from but there are plenty of offerings. The prices, for the amount of food you get, are very reasonable. Even a bottle of imported beer at $3.50 is as fair as you will find these days. Definitely...

I just ordered from here because I work at the liquor store next door sometimes as a fill-in and oh my goodness gracious! This food was so good I absolutely plan on ordering from here again probably every time I work over there LOL you guys did an amazing job! I got the pastor tacos and bean and cheese pupusas! My mom got six tamales and a friend of mine got something else I can't remember but me and my mom's food was absolutely insanely good both of us loved it and I will definitely be ordering from here again!
