Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Virginia

Yesterday I used my app to order pizza from this Pizza Hut location and chose the contact-less delivery option. It gave me an estimated delivery time of 7:50 pm. I assume Fridays are a little busier since it is the start of the weekend and many people choose to go out to eat or order in so, I took that in mind while waiting for my food. Around 7:47 pm, I looked at my App and, it says my Pizza was still in the oven so, I assumed I would not be getting my Pizza at 7:50 pm . At 7:53 pm I checked my app again and saw my piza was out for delivery. Around 8:15 pm, I still didn't receive a knock on my door or a text on my phone notifying me of my pizza being delivered.I checked my app again and, it still showed my pizza ad being out for delivery. I thought about calling the restaurant but decided to check my front door just in case. I open the door and there was my pizza sitting cold and lonely on the ground outside. I am not sure what time my pizza was delivered but I do know it was cold. I'm sure the driver had many other deliveries to make but, that doesn't excuse the fact that he/she left it outside on the floor in the cold and didn't think to text or knock on my door. Had I known my delivery driver was going to be this careless, I wouldn't have tipped -_-. And pizza doesn't taste the same once it gets cold. Also, I ordered the Huts favorite crust but received the original crust...My mind was set on a hot and fresh pizza but, sadly that was not the case yesterday. I'm giving 3 stars only because, my first two experiences at this restaurant were satisfactory. Yesterday was just...

There is only one pizza I have ever ordered which was worse than this, and that was about two weeks from Dominos.

Tonight, I ordered ONE large hand tossed pizza with Italian sausage and pepperoni. It cost $28 after delivery fee and tip.

Pros: The delivery driver. She was a young woman, nice smile and was really pleasant. I hope she finds a job that has a better product to deliver.

Cons: Overcooked Only 9 pieces of pepperoni Extraordinary high cost Hardly any cheese Sauce (what there was of it) too sweet Italian sausage-tasted like from frozen pizza

When I go to a really good mom and pop pizza restaurant and order a large pizza the cheese stretches and is stringy when you take a bite. It tastes fresh. When I took a bite of Pizza Hut I couldn't taste the cheese. It's like going to McDonald's for a quarter pounder. You taste a conglomerate of stuff but not the individual flavors. When you go to a pizza restaurant you can taste the sauce, absolutely the cheese bc there's plenty, and of course the toppings. Oh btw, the only decent thing I can say about Dominos in comparison is that I ordered the same pizza last week and Dominos large hand tossed pepperoni and sausage pizza had 28 slices of pepperoni, compared to 9 on Pizza Hut.

I've been doing my own taste testing bc the last time I had Pizza Hut and Dominos was when my kids were young. Now they're all adults. Pizza Hut used to be SO much better than this!! I'm guessing that Pizza Hut isn't happy that they asked me to review...

Don’t use this store. I’ve been ordering from this location since it was built, and for years I never had an issue. Ever since they switched to using Uber Eats for delivery, the quality has gone downhill—cold, soggy pizzas that take forever to arrive. But that’s not the main reason for this review. About six or seven weeks ago, I placed a delivery order and paid online. When the driver arrived, he insisted I had to pay again. Even after I told him it was already paid—and even after the store confirmed it on the phone—he refused to leave the pizza unless I gave him more money. After 15–20 minutes of back and forth, I finally told him to leave. I drove to the store myself, and the manager apologized, made me a new pizza, and promised me a credit for the inconvenience (since I had paid a delivery fee but had to pick it up anyway). Here’s the problem: when I went to use that credit today, suddenly nobody remembered anything, nothing was in my account, and I was basically told “too bad.” After being a loyal customer for over 15 years, that was the last straw.

My recommendation: If you still use this store, do pickup only—don’t trust their delivery.

And if they ever offer you a “credit,” don’t take it. Make them refund you outright, because you’ll never see that credit. I for one will never use this...
