As someone who typically doesn't leave reviews, I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Starbucks. Having worked in customer service myself, I understand the importance of providing exceptional service to every customer. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Starbucks left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. As I approached the counter to pay for my order, I handed the cashier a $100 bill to cover the roughly $30 purchase. Instead of a courteous response, I was met with an abrupt remark: "We are not a bank. Do you have a smaller bill?" This response was unexpected and quite frankly, unprofessional. While I understand that large bills can sometimes be inconvenient for cashiers, the tone and attitude displayed were unnecessary. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the form of payment I choose to use. The encounter left a sour taste in my mouth. Customer service is a fundamental aspect of any business, and unfortunately, this particular Starbucks location fell short in that regard. Overall, while the quality of the coffee and atmosphere at Starbucks is generally satisfactory, this particular experience left much to be desired. I hope that in the future, the staff at this location will prioritize providing excellent customer service to ensure a more positive experience for...
Read moreI rarely go to Starbucks since I brew my own coffee. Today, I had the absolute worst bacon, egg and cheese sandwich ever. There was maybe one strip if thin bacon and a hint of guyere cheese on a chewy roll. The cost was $5.85 which is about twice what it was worth. The egg was just okay.
The drive-thru is poorly marked and easy to miss. Backing up to get into the drive-thru lane was next to impossible due to the curb structure. You can tell b the tire tracks in the muddy median that others had made the same mistake.
The cashier was totally distracted and shoved the credit card reader out the window with no explanation of what I was supposed to do after inserting my card. I couldn’t see a thing on the screen.once I finally got his attention he pushed a button and said something like”you’re done” He barely greeted me and there was no thanks for your business after my order was filled.
Ive been in customer service all my life. I can say without a doubt that I will never return to that particular restaurant nor any Starbucks unless it’s the only...
Read moreThese are the nicest Starbucks employees you will ever meet, truly. I work at one of the hospitals here in Charlottesville, and everyone was talking about how excited they were for this Starbucks to open because it’s an awesome location on our way into work. But shortly after they opened, I kept hearing people say “have you been to the new Starbucks? They’re SO NICE there!” I normally make my own coffee in the morning, but I had to try them out. Well their reputation is spot on - literally they are all so warm and welcoming, even in the drive-through. Every time I’m there they genuinely ask me how my morning is going, and they take that extra second to share an honest connection with their customers, which is something I think we’re all craving during this time of social distancing. Their friendliness has made my pockets lighter - I stop in multiple times a week now just because the atmosphere is so uplifting! The coffee is awesome as usual, but the staff is really what makes the experience so lovely....
