Taylor's At Market Square — Restaurant in Virginia

Taylor's Restaurant is a cool little restaurant/bar, where it feels like everyone knows your name. Many regulars come in and hang out. The food is really good, which is such a surprise (a good surprise)!! The drinks are so well worth it (cheapest I've seen). The employees are so nice and super friendly! They really enjoy working there! The patio is a great place to sit and hang for a bit. The inside can get a little loud, as there are games, and pool. I mean... it is a bar, right? Jennifer and Sam are by far the most efficient servers/bar staff ever. Always keeping it all together in the mad rush of things. Edit... visit on 2.22.23 ordered drinks and appetizer combo and Grouper fingers... OMG....

My husband and I stopped here on our Thanksgiving vacation and we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming staff who immediately handed us menus and gave us space to read them but checked in regularly enough that when we had decided they were basically right there to take our order. They also checked in as we waited for our togo order which not a lot of places do. They were consistently friendly and lovely people and that atmosphere seemed to even extend to the clientele as well. I got the crab cakes (which are really big and filling) and they were so flavorful. My husband has the cheese-steak wrap and he said it was delicious but I was too full...

I enjoyed my time here. This place encapsulates the culture of the area. I walked in here for a burger and a couple of beers and the bartender asked me for my name and never forgot it after that moment.

I ordered the burger from her recommendation and was not disappointed because this place understands its customers. We want a good burger and want to wash it down with a cold beer. And I was not disappointed. It’s not that complicated and nor should it ever be.
