I thought I had posted this review already but after checking I realized I never did and I think it is VERY important to share our experience as I am still upset several months later. Last year my husband surprised me by booking a weekend at this hotel for my sister and I to have a girls weekend. I am a stay at home mom to two toddlers so these weekends are rare and I was very excited.on our second night there, we were awoken to a couple next door screaming, banging and fighting around 1am. We called the front desk and they said they would handle it yet nothing happened. An hour later the screaming was still going on, on and off. We called the front desk again very angry and tired. They said they would call the room next door. We heard the phone ring and no one answered. The screaming continued on and off for another hour. We called the front desk a third time. We let them know it sounded very violent. They said they would send someone up to check on the room. 30 minutes later the “security person” who did nothing knocked on OUR door. Around 3-4am at this point. Asked us which room even though we had told them on the phone, said he didn’t hear anything but would wait up there for the next hour. He must not have waited because 10 minutes later the screaming started again and he was nowhere to be found. We called the front desk a last time around 5am, very upset saying we hadn’t slept and the screaming was STILL GOING ON. They finally sent this “security person” to knock on the door next door. The man who answered said they were fine and that was the extent of the conversation. It took 4 calls and several hours for them to even offer us a new room. By that time it was 5am and we had to leave at 7 anyways. When we went to check out we complained at the front desk and asked for a refund for that night or a free night or something given that they did nothing to help us. They offered us a free coffee but said that was it. No one seemed to believe us or take us seriously. My sister and I were very scared and also very concerned for the girl screaming bloody murder who sounded like she was being hurt. We will never stay here again and have told everyone we know not to stay at this hotel. Very disappointed in the terrible customer service, the “security”, and we did not feel safe. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I would also like to add that I have only ever left positive reviews for businesses. I only have 6 reviews, all 5 star except this one. It takes A LOT for me to be upset enough to leave a bad review for a company. But the customer service here doesn’t even warrant one star...
Read moreVery recently, my mother and I were sitting in the lobby and a lady who worked there came up to us and said “room number?”. We stated that we didnt have one but were just drinking coffee, as we do often She then said “so, the lobby is only permitted for guests.” We were confused, as we, and multiple people have done since the day the hotel opened. We then asked when that was put into effect. She then said that it’s always been like this and we KNOW who our guests are, and the promptly walked away. My mom went up to the desk and questioned it again, because even the day before, we were there and were greeted by other friendlier and professional workers. The lady immediately got defensive, without answering the question, and called security and the manager, because “my mom was questioning her integrity”. The security guys, who we have said hello to on many occasions, left immediately because there was obviously no threat, and we talked to the manager. The manager was very professional and understanding. To us, it was perfectly ok that during this time of the virus, that the lobby was closed to non guests. But there was no signage to tell anyone that, and it seemed sketchy that within the last three days, we were there, in the lobby, grabbing coffee from their restaurant, and then all of a sudden, Nadine (the front desk woman) gets a sudden attitude. The manager told us that they were really flexible in general with people sitting in the lobby, and i can personally attest to this as i have had many lunches there, have seen students do classwork and have seen people do interviews from different companies there. Once again, this explanation was ok, it was the way that this Nadine women came across. She was rude, unprofessional, and dramatic too the point of getting emotional over a simple question. Not a good fit for a standard customer service role. I don’t want to get too critical, as it seemed she might have a learning or emotional disability, but the random fit of aggression and defensiveness needs to addressed immediately. The manager was vert nice and understanding, and i’ve never ever had a problem with any of the other staff, hotel and restaurant. But there’s always going to be one bag egg...

This past June, I returned to the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center as a Hyatt Globalist. I was delighted to receive prompt and helpful communication via text through the Hyatt app. Sunita answered all my questions about the club lounge and parking, making pre-arrival a breeze.
The check-in and check-out process went smoothly, with Sunita personally assisting me at the front desk. The staff were courteous, friendly, and professional throughout, acknowledging my Globalist status and providing all necessary information.
Comfortable Accommodations and Great Location:
The hotel room was clean, well-maintained, and offered comfortable beds. We enjoyed a high-floor room with two queen beds and a pleasant courtyard view. The location remained a major perk – directly connected to Tysons Corner Center and within walking distance of the metro station for easy access to Washington D.C.
Club Lounge: A Mixed Bag
While the Club Lounge itself was decent, the food options fell short. It served its purpose for beverages (coffee, tea, soda) upon arrival. However, the hors d'oeuvres selection was limited during designated hours, and the continental breakfast the following day was just average. If you prioritize extensive lounge offerings, this might not be a highlight. Fortunately, it didn't affect our stay since we didn't have high expectations.
Overall Positive Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and maintain our previous 5-star rating for the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center. The exceptional service, unbeatable location, clean and comfortable room, all contributed to a positive experience. While the club lounge could be improved, its limitations wouldn't deter us from returning.
(below review was from stay in April 2023) We stayed here for an overnight short trip as a family. Hotel was clean. Room was large and clean. Overall, nothing to complain or no issue at all. Parking is easy (I knew before hand that the parking for the hotel is in Garage E and it is easy to get to the hotel parking section on...
