Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Virginia

Went there last night around 5 p.m. asked if their kids chocolate chimp smoothie had Splenda in it and informed them me and my oldest daughter have allergic reactions to it....they told me no and that they would rinse out the mixer before making our smoothies....obviously the chocolate chimp smoothie was made with Splenda ...my daughter and I both are now violently ill...my husband and other daughter are fine because they do not have the allergic reaction to Splenda...my daughter is still vomiting as we speak even though she only drank half the kids smoothie because it made her feel bad...we are waiting for the doctor's office to open so we can get help to stop the reaction...and now because some careless employee she will have to cancel her medical appointment that took 4 months to schedule because she has to have iv sedation...if a customer tells you they are allergic to certain foods maybe don't make their food with it and no this is not from using same equipment this type of reactin iis from making our food...

Lazy employees who don’t want to do their job properly and then lie to the face of their customers about it. I order curbside almost every time I come into culpeper so it’s ready a little sooner. I park RIGHT in front of the door every time. You can see the employees working inside. But never, not once, has my order been brought out curbside. I’ll admit I got mad this time, I went in the store and saw my order once again just sitting there on the counter. Cold. As usual when I wait. I asked the younger Spanish girl at the front if I was wasting my time doing curbside because after a dozen times it has never been brought out. She ignored me, clearly had an attitude change once I asked again and again she said “didn’t see your vehicle” (lie, I turned around and looked right at it out the front door) in a pissed off tone. God forbid you DO YOU JOB. If you don’t want to offer curbside...

Culpeper’s Tropical Smoothie is such a disappointment to me. After being a customer in Lynchburg for the last 12 years, I just moved back to Culpeper and have had bad experiences every time I’ve gone in the past month. The final straw was yesterday, I wanted a free smoothie (per the online offer), but decided to get a açaí bowl and wasn’t qualified to get a free smoothie as Açaí bowl isn’t considered a meal. The issue was, I went into the store at 4pm on 3/4/24, I saw so many customers come in order and get their food, 30 minutes in I asked the cashier about my order, she looked back in the kitchen, didn’t say anything, totally ignored me and waited in the next customer. 15 minutes later needless to say after seeing more people come in order and get their food, I finally get my order, and it was made incorrectly.
