I went to the Tropical Smoothie on Neabsco, and I ordered the Thai Chicken wrap and a Bahama Mama. First, they wanted my card number because they say people do not come in and claim their orders, which does not really explain why they needed it though. Second, when I tried my Bahama Mama that was for a mom, it was made poorly, so I asked Christen to make it again. The second time around, my smoothie was even worse than the first time, so I asked them to just remake the entire thing instead of just adding a few extra ingredients like the first time. Going on the third time, the smoothie was still bad, so I asked my mom to try it and she agreed that is was horrible. In all of this, the girl that was making my smoothie, Christen, had a terrible attitude and was giving mean looks while making my order. The guy with the accent at the register also began to catch an attitude with my mom and I and claimed that they were making the smoothies correctly and my mom assured them that they were not. The guy began to argue, so we asked for the money back for the smoothie. The older black woman that made my wrap did an excellent job though. All in all, this Tropical Smoothie has terrible customer service and untrained people making smoothies. I usually enjoy coming to this tropical smoothie in the morning or early afternoon on my own with my cousin or with my husband on the way home. But tonight I decided to order on my way home from my moms and I ordered something new which I usually dont do unless I'm sure I'm gonna like it but I wanted to use my reward as well. So I did I didn't like it and I nicely went back in to ask if they could please make me a new one but differently to my surprise no one was willing to help me out and I was ignored until someone decided to acknowledge me and they weren't very please to help me. They made my smoothie again and they did it with not much pleasure and the quality wasn't that great and I always love my smoothies when I get the chance to buy them since in my state there isnt any close by. However, upon arrival, we could see that there were a few people waiting for their orders. They seemed a bit irritated. We soon found out why...
I was next in line. The couple in front of us ordered. However, I was made to wait almost 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged us stating that they’d “be right with us.”
Another 6 or so minutes went by. Another employee acknowledged that they’d be right with us. It was about 5 or so more minutes until I was able to order.
The manager (or the young lady who I assume was the manager) in the back was trying to get her tram together by yelling at her team.
The bottom line is, this team was severely overwhelmed. By the time I was able to order, there was about 10 more people behind me waiting.
To make matters even “better,” the smoothie wasn’t that great at all.
