Wendy's — Restaurant in Virginia

Prices have gone up recently, but you can get a meal for a moderate price. I love their classic chicken sandwich & it's what I usually get when I go there. Their chocolate frosty is very good, but I don't care for the vanilla or specialty flavors. The chocolate frosty tastes a little like tootsie rolls to me. I like it because it's not too sweet. The vanilla is not very sweet either, but the vanilla flavor tastes artificial to me. Their specialty/seasonal flavors are sickeningly sweet, in my opinion.

The classic chicken sandwich is battered & deep fried. It's not terribly healthy, but it's okay for an occasional meal. The sandwich contains mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes & pickles. I usually take the pickles out & eat them separately, but they're also good in the sandwich.

I don't care for their fries at all. They are skin-on fries, which I normally like a lot, but at Wendy's, they taste like they weren't cleaned well before being sliced. At this location, the fries taste like they're cooked in old oil. The oil in their fryer needs to be changed more often. I don't notice it in the chicken, but the sandwich has lots of other competing flavors that block out any taste from the oil. I don't usually get the fries. Years ago, they used to carry side salads & I ordered them instead of fries, but they're no longer offered.

I've had several of their burger flavors & they're all good. I appreciate that the burgers are made of fresh beef, but in my opinion, they are way too greasy. They really ought to be drained of oil in some way before assembling the sandwiches. That's the main reason I usually order the chicken. There are also grilled chicken options, which is nice.

I don't usually order dessert, except for chocolate frosties & I use them as a drink, rather than a dessert. Often, I'll add a little of my coffee to the chocolate frosty & stir it. It makes mocha flavor & it's easier to drink when thinned.

I have ordered some of their salads & those I've had are very good. But I usually feel as though I need something with the salad, like a roll or a half sandwich. For that reason, I don't usually order their salads.

The baked potatoes taste like they've been precooked & then reheated. They aren't very good. That's all of the menu items I've tried. I have never had their cookies because I'm not fond of store bought cookies.

I like Wendy's occasionally for a quick meal, or when we are yraveling. We'll often pick up a meal to eat on the way. I've never tried...

Employees are super nice! Seriously I would have given five stars just because of how polite they are, HOWEVER make sure you ALWAYS check your food at this location before driving away! 8 out of 10 times it's not your order or it's missing something OR something is added for free that is not yours. I feel bad mentioning this because they are all so sweet and really try to do there best, they even go above and beyond for me at times! I am picky about my salad and what I want and don't want on it, they have, on multiple occasions made my salad to order in the specialty way I want it AND they are nice about doing it. They don't do it begrudgingly or because they have to but because they have great customer service! I also ALWAYS ask for 3 extra dressings AND 1 extra pack of pecans, which I'm fine with having to pay extra but they always decline and say no it's okay. What a great Wendy's! Food was awful.Very very very salty. The service was excellent. I do mean excellent too. The food looked cooked perfectly, it was just that what the food was made of was just not good. The potatoes looked great but were bathed on some kind of salt that went all the way through them. I think this is salt that are processed with not added at the Wendys. The breakfast burgers we got were also very salty and the burger meat was just awful- my wife said over and over this tastes like nothing but fat. The coffee was ok if a little strong . I say this again- the people working there went way above to get me my food. My problem is what Wendy's exec's are forcing them to cook.
