I previously gave these guys 5 stars. Update. June 09 2019. This is going to be a long one, so grab a chair and a glass of tea. There is a saying, all things change. This is true for my favorite steakhouse, or what was my favorite steakhouse. It seems that the filet cut of meat, specifically the flos filet, now strongly resembles a sirloin. In taste, texture, size of cut. And not even that good of a sirloin. As soon as it hit the table, I asked the server if I had the right cut of meat. I expressed my concern that I had never seen a flos filet cut this thin. Oh yes he says, our fillets resemble a sirloin cut and surprisingly our sirloins are thicker like you would think a fillet would be. Now my first thought was then maybe someone needs to check the packaging, or the supplier is screwing longhorn, and of course the customer gets the short end of the stick. So I cut into this "filet", and the texture is NOT that of a filet. Well definitely not that of ALL the previous flos filets I have had over the years we have been visiting longhorn. I just had a few bites, and brought to servers attention that this definitely did not taste anything like a filet cut. The server did ask if I would like another one, to which I politely answered, ( and I was polite, because he had been very nice and even admitted that the cut was surprising to him as well), I don't think another of the same thing is going to change what it is, or is not. So here we are at the end of the meal. I only ate a few bites of the steak and when the server rerurned, I expressed my concern about whether it was really a filet. Next comes the manager. We have same discussion. He was also very professional and polite. Now I made it clear to both server and manager I was not looking for anything free or to be compensated. I just wanted to make sure they, maybe not being steak eaters, that this piece of meat in no way resembles the flos filet that I have had many times and maybe someone should double check the packaging. Manager says he will speak with the head chef and heads off. Manager comes back and goes into how they have had a change in supplier, and how some filets are thick and others thin and how total weight of shipment was correct, and well about this time another saying came to me. You can put lipstick on a pig, and parade it around all day, call it what you want, but at the end of the day, all you have is a pig with lipstick. So guys, they can call it what they want, at the end of the day, it is what it is. Which one of these would you prefer? The steak I received was about half the thickness of the picture. Oh, the manager didn't charge me for desert. That was nice. Let's call this a review of Flo's filet and not about the service. Because service was good and the staff was nice and polite.👍

2024 January, we ordered carryout over the phone, was told it would be ready 25 minutes. We arrived and parked in the curbside parking area. We waited at least 10 minutes and then our food was brought out. No utensils. Filet mignon and baked potato were good. Salad and new BBQ chicken were not the best. 2019-07-21 Brianna was our server and she was phenomenal and very professional! Called ahead for seating, 1 person in front of us, arrived and they started to prepare our table immediately, we were seated a little after 4pm and leaving a little after 5pm as very happy and satisfied customers. Brianna handled one in our group professionally that does not like Longhorn Steakhouse and that person enjoyed the meal and dined sufficiently. Another in our group said the ribeye was (cooked) right (since it was chargrilled) and my filet mignon was chargrilled too and it tasted really good. We had 5 Adults and 6 children and Brianna was attentive and provided drink refills even before we asked. Thank you Brianna and highly recommend her as your server! 2018-10-12 after power outages caused by hurricane Michael, they opened 1 hour prior to us arriving, they told us 25 to 30 minute wait for me, my wife and our infant, so we were seated and I saw how hard these people were working as a team to make sure people had a meal during a time when many had no electricity at home, our server Katie was very nice/polite and gave us excellent service, the bread, salad, steak and potatoes were all good. These people have a good team, their managers were helping serve people, clear tables etc. I highly recommend eating here. My family and I ate here after church and Nurgle, our server, was very fast and always polite, service was excellent, the manager even came to our table to tell us when the ribeye was not cooked correctly and they are fixing another for us. We called before arriving, asking them to reserve seating/tables for us, they said it would take 10 to 15 minutes, when we arrived, they told us that our table may be ready earlier than expected, I think we waited between 5 and 10 minutes, or less than 15 minutes. 2 years prior, I said, I usually do carryout and pickup (or eat) at the bar, but today, I ate with my wife. I asked for a booth, they sat me at booth, and Zack (really nice young man) was our waiter, he took our order and he made sure we were happy the entire time that we were there. Arrived at 5pm Thursday evening, I parked close to the front door and my wife parked beside me; so, you all take note and arrive at 5pm to get good parking spot. And ask for Zack. I have good experiences with the bartenders when I carryout, too. The Caesar salad, fresh garden salad, filet mignon and sweet potato are all good!

After a soggy day steeped in history at the Jamestown settlement, we were absolutely meat-ing to find somewhere hearty to dry out and refuel. When LongHorn Steakhouse appeared on the map, we knew it was our prime choice for dinner (Tue, May 27, 2025). We’d been to a LongHorn before - back in Orlando - and learned a valuable lesson: don’t fill up on the complimentary warm bread. But, just like a well-seasoned ribeye, that resolve was tender and short-lived. The bread landed on our table, still warm, and we were toast. This time, we paced ourselves, tearing off polite little pieces like civilized carnivores. Before long, the main meat of the evening arrived. I accidentally asked for a “12-inch” steak instead of a “12-ounce,” which gave our server a rare chuckle. If they’d actually served a foot-long steak, I wouldn’t have put up a beef about it! We ordered: 🥩 Ribeye (12oz) with fries = $26.79
🌽 Grilled corn = $2.99
🥩 Ribeye (12oz) with fries = $26.79
🧀 Steakhouse mac and cheese = $2.99
🥤 Refillable Diet Coke = $3.39
🍺 2 x Blue Moon (20oz) = $15.58
😢 Tax = $8.64
💰 Total = $87.17 The steaks were seared to perfection - juicy, tender, and worth every last bite. We took it slow to truly relish the moment. After all, there’s no point rushing your rump at LongHorn. The Steakhouse mac and cheese? An udderly indulgent side dish. The cheesy flavor was no joke—it had us grate-ful with every bite. As for the grilled corn, it was a-maize-ing. Each kernel was like a tiny burst of sweet flavor, and the cheesy, crumbly coating cobbled together something truly special. While many tables were boxing up leftovers, we left nothing but a clean slate (plate). We had no steak in leftovers - every last bite was gone. Service was top-sirloin. Friendly, fast, and faultless. We left a generous tip as a well-done thanks to the team. LongHorn Steakhouse has really butchered the competition when it comes to satisfying meals on the road. It’s become one of our favorite spots to meat up and dig in - and you can sirloin that we’ll be back for more!

This is our 2nd time at this location while vacationing. The first time, we did a take out back in 2021 so can't recall our experience, but I'm sure it was nothing compared to our dine in for dinner on Saturday. The place closes at 11PM, we walked in around 10:17PM and was seated promptly. The place was still pretty packed during this time, but we didn't have to wait long to be waited on. The waiter was nice, but we have issues with our foods. My husband ordered the grilled chicken strawberry salad, there were only a few chicken pieces in a huge plate of mixed greens. When asked is there at least 4 oz of meat, the waiter said yes, bu I can guarantee you that it was not as I weigh my protein when meal prepping at home. I ordered the bourbon glazed salmon with rice pilaf, asparagus, side order of salad. The salmon has no glaze of any type of sauce, the rice was very under cooked, it was so crunchie (prior to our foods arrving, there was another family dining next to our table, and we overhead the same complaints about the rice and salmon, so I was hoping that mine wouldn't come out the same). My son ordered the chicken tender with fries and a side of salad. He liked his and his meal had more meat than the grilled chicken salad. Unsatisfied with our orders, we asked to speak to the manager. That was a mistake as he was contradicting everything we were telling him. We asked about the meat portion for the chicken salad, he said, it was one chicken breast and it clearly was not and is probably no more than 3 oz of meat. I then asked him about the glaze on the salmon and he said there's glaze on it already; there were not. I told him about the undercooked rice, he said the rice is fresh and that it was cooked (first of all, you can't tell an Asian woman about the rice being cooked right, we would know!) He was not pleasant, and have no customer service skills in my opinion based on how he managed the situation. He didn't suggest or did anything to make our meals enjoyable so we told him to take our foods off the check and we'll just pay for our son's foods and leave. He didn't even offer an apology! One of the worse experiences during our stay! The waiter was however, very apologetic and told us there were complaints all day that day so clearly we were not the only one! Will take our business elsewhere, it is the only way nowadays to have a voice in matters...
