One has to have the proper expectations when visiting a JIB or any of its not so noble competitors. If you allow yourself to pay full price for all that you purchase, then you may come away feeling ripped off and wondering why you made such a choice! However, if you arm yourself with knowledge of the specials and deals available, you can walk away with a satiated appetite and a wallet still full of cash. Case in point: JIB partners with local sports teams (Padres, SDSU Aztecs, etc.) and if our home team succeeds in some way, JIB rewards us with a smokin' DEAL on some item. As of this date of this review, they are rewarding Padres fans with a free Jumbo Jack (with purchase of a large drink) if the Padres hit a home run during s home game! Normally the anemic hitters on the Padres wouldn't reward us, but this year (2019) they are hitting more home runs than ever before! So for less than $2.50 you can fill your tummy with a decent fancy burger and a large drink of your choice! And most of the time, the bathrooms are clean and smell okay, the dining area is neat and the food is close to what it looks like up on the menu board. Fast and courteous service early in the morning (5-6am). I was also pleasantly surprised that the dining area inside opened up at 5am. I would recommend this place if you needed an early meal quickly.

Edit: I got to the drive-thru at roughly 3:14am in order to try and beat them closing. After waiting a few minutes, and saying "hello" in the speaker a few times, I was finally told they were closed. I asked about the sign for their hours (they should close at 3:30am) but was told the sign was wrong and that they haven't updated it yet. I asked what time they close and she said 3am. Mind you, I tried the previous day but got there about 5 minutes before the supposed closing time (3:25am-ish) and was told they were closed and figured I'd give them a pass. Having posted hours for I don't know how long and be "wrong" is unacceptable, especially when you look online and the time reflects what is posted. I know, "first world problems", but how hard is it to update times? Please update your scheduled closing times so other people don't waste their time trying to get here before...

Not only did they waste my time because I had to go back through the drive thru, but they messed up my order completely. I understand that it was after midnight at 12:30 am, but each day part is important. Just like each customer. I don't understand how everything can show up on the screen correctly as I ordered, with one total. Then be charged something different and only given two items ouy of my entire order. One if which was completely wrong. How do onion rings end up in a box marked egg rolls. I paid money for egg rolls and ended up with five onion rings in a box. Then after waiting in line, because it seems like the cashier didn't know how to handle multiple cars, he repeats my order that i just told him wrong. I get my food, drive home. I ate my stuff and everyone else ate theirs. All of us sick when we wake up. This place is horrible, and I know so many people who can back up this claim.
