The Salad was great, the bread was very nice,,, but nowhere in the place or on the menu did it say Vegan. I like vegan, but I don't go for the fake meat and cheese. It's awful. My daughter and I ordered sandwiches, mine had "ham" "bacon" and "cheese". Awful. Her's had "bacon" (BLT) She took it off to eat the rest of the sandwich, which she said was good. If I had known I would have ordered something else, which I am guessing would have been very good. After we ate I asked the lady at the counter if there is anything in the place that lets people know it is vegan. She said no. I'm not even sure if this is legal. Fake ham is not ham, fake cheese is not cheese, you can't just call it that on your menu like it's real. When you order butter with your popcorn at the theater they aren't allowed to ask you if you want "butter" if it doesn't say on the menu that it isn't real butter but just flavored grease. I wouldn't go again just because of the deception. Yes I feel tricked. Also to boot, lady at the counter taking orders looked like she didn't want to be there. Not the right person to interact...

We are so excited to have this lovely new plant-based, delicious, and healthy small cafe in our Vista neighborhood! Run by a delightful family (Veronica & Marioā¦when we went today their lovely daughter was assisting also). This sweet little cafe is located in a small strip mall across the street from Shadowridge Kaiser. It is very clean, the help staff is attentive and friendly, the drinks and food are delicious, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. Our first visit we had several different GF panini sandwiches (yummy!) We have been plant-based and gluten-free for over 3 1/2 years now and it is often a challenge finding restaurant options that meet our needs. Today we went in for a Saturday lunch outdoors on the patio and had Chilaquiles (Wow!) and a gluten-free burrito (Delicious!) The homemade sauces are amazing and the drinks are wonderful, with lots of plant-based milk options. We are incredibly grateful to have this little gem here in our neighborhood and look forward...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYikes, I am speechless. Came here for the first time to get coffee and hoping to get food. I came in, the lady in the front didn't say hi or welcome. It took her a while to acknowledge me, I get it, you can get busy. But she said, "What do you want?" Didn't smile. I asked her a question and said she didn't understand. Then I asked her what she recommended as I had already told her its my first time. She didn't give me an answer. Then I finally told her I wanted an ice vanilla latte and she said, "a vanilla coconut?" And I said, "Oh, is that good?" She said, "well it has coconut. " wow. She finally came to the cashier, talking to me straight forward and asked what milk I wanted and I said, "oh, half and half." Then she yelled, " we are a vegan shop! So what kind of milk do you want?!" I said, "the normal one that comes with it." Then she sighed and was about to lecture me or something and I simple said, "Wow, sorry for the trouble, didnt think it would be so hard to order a coffe." So sad because I was excited to...
