Cane's chicken has one shining aspect of it; that the chicken is juicy and served piping hot. However, this time around, while the chicken was indeed hot, it was dry; especially my last piece which was a struggle to finish. The Texas toast was good like the few other times I've been here, but I truly believe that the Cane's sauce is simply a lost cause. The sauce included delivers a nuclear explosion of straight-up black pepper that totally drowns out any other taste, even taking a small dip and a big bite yields only the overwhelming taste of raw peppercorn. The staff were polite, and I was served almost astonishingly quick, but when I walked up to the counter to take my order I expected some sort of confirmation that this was my order but the staff were talking to each other. Which left me in an awkward position of trying to discern which of the two plates on the counter was mine. The atmosphere of the establishment is well done, with local photographs and signage, but the chairs are deafeningly loud. Simple rubber feet would fix this issue that causes everyone in the store to stop their conversation and witness the unfortunate person shyly continue to move their cacophonous chair. Sometimes Cane's hits pretty well, but unfortunately this time wasn't it, and all I was left with this time wasn't the taste of juicy chicken, but the taste of disappointment in my mouth.

Guys. I was just there 30 min ago. I did a 12 hr work shift. Customer service was nice. Did the menu change for the caniac combo? No bread. No coleslaw. Just more fries? Folks I order the bow $20.00+(potentially climbing) caniac combo because it’s balanced with the Texas toast, and coleslaw. Last time you guys messed up my order, even with my receipt and coming back to this location, you gave me the third the degree. Honestly if I’m going to eat that much fries I can go to store and cook up a pan of frozen fries. I’m spending money for the variety. It was a long day. Again this the second time you guys made a mistake on my order. This is not good service.

Our first time trying this chain. We both had the sandwich combos. The sandwiches, which are basically comprised of three chicken fingers, were very good. Loved the dressing. We also liked the fries, but they were a little skimpy. The fountain drinks included Barq’s root beer, which is simply the best. For some reason, lemonade is 20 cents more, and is served from behind the counter. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. The interior decor is based on the locality (Vista) which is kind of neat. Out tab was $18. Fair enough. Obviously a limited menu, but I guess that’s their niche.

Raising Cane's always makes phenomenal fried chicken that I prefer over any other fast food chicken place - miles better than KFC and while some may disagree I think RC's chicken is much better than the likes of Chick-Fil-a. The Cane's special sauce really makes the difference here.

My only complaint is that they need to expand with more locations. The drive thru lines are UNGODLY long during the lunch and dinner hours even on weekdays. The demand is obviously there and I have to drive 30 mins to get to the nearest location. I was there yesterday and waited in line for better part of an hour with traffic backed up into the main road. That's insane! To their credit, since they only make one thing (chicken) the lines move quickly, but if they are long enough it can still be a miserable wait. I feel like adding one or two more locations nearby might alleviate that congestion. At the very least they need to do a bit better about posting signage to guide visitors more effectively when it comes to the line because the line to the drive thru is chaos right now and needs some structure from the restaurant as it can be difficult to figure out where the line starts when you come from different directions. You run the risk of cutting in by accident and upsetting others in the line.

Still if you go at off peak times it's fine, though the place seems to be always busy, the lunch hour on Saturday and Sunday seem to be the worst. If you can hang on through the wait, you'll get amazing and delicious chicken as a reward. I just wish they could deal with the demand at some point. This place is always very popular so I can't imagine spreading the customer demand among multiple locations would be a bad idea for them.

Overall I doubt you'll be...

I went into the Vista location and had a large order for my staff. I ordered 7 3 pc boxes, 1 4pc box, 3 kids meals and a total of 11 drinks with one of them being half lemonade and half iced tea. The girl taking my order was pleasant and repeated the order back to me. She was filled 2 lemonades and the arnold palmer. A gentleman working there was very nice and helped me to my car with all of the drinks. Upon getting back to work, it was discovered that the 4pc box was not in any of the bags and the arnold palmer was not complete, it was only filled 3/4 of the way with lemonade. (perhaps that was my fault, I should have checked and added the tea). When I called the store, the girl answering the phone knew my order and said she bagged the box herself and it was there. I told her we did not receive it. She said she will have to look at the camera footage. I said fine, look at whatever you need to look at, but we did not receive that item.. She said we can pick it up in 15 minutes. 10 minutes later I received a call back from the girl that took my order inside stating they checked their camera footage and it shows they put the order in the bag. I stated maybe someone else picked up that bag, but that we did not receive it. Why would I call to complain that 1 of my employees did not get their lunch for no reason. She stated they can send me the video footage. The way I was spoken to was rude and condescending. In an industry of service, they service I received today was rude and uncalled for. Apparently Raising Canes needs the $15.00 really bad to not correct an honest, simple mistake their employee made. Due to lack of accountability and wanting to correct the simple mistake, I will be sure not to patron their...

I used their mobile app for the first time and it was the worst mobile order experience I have ever had. The app estimated that my order would be completed in 10-15minutes. It actually took closer to 2 hours to complete. Granted, the drive thru line was long when my friends and I arrived and stayed long during our almost 2 hour wait, but my wait should not have taken that long. To make matters worse, each time my friend walked in to check on my order he was lied to by the employees. The first two times he checked on my order he was told that it would be another 5-10 minutes. Then about 10 minutes after the app indicated my order was "completed" my friend asked an employee about it and he was told it would be done "soon". The employees should have given us a more accurate wait time. As I waited in the cold outside of Cane's for my order, I saw the never ending line of in person orders being completed for all the people who placed orders well after I had. I don't understand why their orders were completed before mine when I ordered well before all of them. There were signs posted on the store windows and near the drive thru advertising how quick mobile orders were compared to ordering in person/using the drive thru, but the people in the drive thru and who walked in to order received their food faster than I did. I will never use this app again and I would never recommend it, nor would I recommend the Vista, CA location to anyone.

On a coronavirus note, there seemed to be too many people waiting inside the restaurant than the current capacity...
