Absolutely Incredible Authentic Mexican Cuisine! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Huaco Eatery, and I can confidently say that it was the best Mexican food I have ever had! Having traveled to Mexico multiple times, I’ve experienced a variety of authentic flavors and dishes, and Huaco Eatery truly captured the essence of Mexican cuisine.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly Chef , who was eager to share his passion for food. The ambiance of the restaurant is delightful, transporting you to a cozy corner of Mexico.

Now, let’s talk about the food! We indulged in the churros, asada fries, and flautas, and each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The churros were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, drizzled with just the right amount of chocolate and powdered sugar. The asada fries were a savory delight, topped with fresh ingredients that made every bite a joy. The flautas were equally impressive, showcasing a perfect balance of textures and flavors that took me straight back to my travels in Mexico.

I have never had a problem with Huaco Eatery until now.

I’m furious after my recent experience and here is why. I work a block away, and usually order online to make it easy. I order in advance, so I can just pick up my food on my break, and enjoy what time I have to eat. I placed my order on the Union Hall website, and it accessed me to the Huaco site, and I placed my order for the chicken flautas.

I waited patiently, only to be told my order wasn't placed, because they no longer do online orders. I said I understood, but I'm on my lunch and really want my food. The guy said wait ten minutes. So I did, and called my job explaining I may be running late. After I waited, they said that they cannot make my food, and my money will be returned on my CC in a week or so. There was no manager present, and they gentleman working there was by himself, and spoke little english. I will say he was nice, and did find a woman who helped translate. I did show the text message notification, and email verification stating my order was placed, and showed that my card was charged. But the bottom lines is: How can a restaurant take my money and then refuse to fulfill my order? This is not just bad service; it’s unacceptable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8/9/2025 Union Hall in Waco is a great spot with tons of food options—from gelato to chicken wings, sushi, and more. We chose to eat at Huaco Eatery (as shown in the pictures), and I have to say, the presentation of our meals was beautiful. The plates looked amazing and clearly had effort put into them. The food itself was good—not quite as bold in flavor as it looked, but still enjoyable.

The only issue I had wasn’t with Huaco Eatery but with the Union Hall building staff. As we were standing up and saying goodbye to our friends, a staff member came over and told us to take our trash to the bin. We already intended to, and we were literally still getting out of our chairs. I told her respectfully that she should give us a moment before assuming we were going to leave anything behind. It just came off as a bit rude.

That said, I won’t fault Huaco Eatery for that. They did an excellent job with presentation, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. Union Hall is still a nice place to come and eat, especially if you enjoy having lots of choices under one roof. I’d come back and try other...
