I am a former employee here and I can honestly say that I used to want everyone to try this coffee shop because of the product(olympia coffee roasters beans). due to employees who do not know the proper math and science that goes into creating a quality coffee product, their drinks are now awful. I would recommend going to any other coffee shop in waco before you try Lighthouse(that includes Starbucks Coffee). You can have good beans, but that isnât what makes coffee good. Getting a quality drink and quality experience would mean you need an educated and compassionate staff. i have not seen this here. nor do i expect to anytime soon. Not one single person who started working there still does. every staff member is new and continues to change. they do not know how to make these drinks nor do they even realize they are making their drinks incorrectly. you need to admit thereâs an issue if you plan to resolve it. This shop COULD be good. but potential doesnât equate to present quality. You should check out some other good local coffee shops like Pinewood, Common Grounds, BrĂ», Kurbside, Or Dichotomy. These businesses care about their product, environment, and their customers experience. Even though these local places are already amazing, they continue to grow and strive to learn more. support businesses that want to know how they can be doing better. not ones who steal products and recipes from other local startups. Because thatâs exactly what Lighthouse did. I think it is important to support local. but locals should support fellow locals. and this business has selfishly stolen so much already. keep that in mind the next time youâre craving a...
Read moreHad an absolutely wonderful experience at this coffee shop in Waco yesterday. The barista was incredibly friendly and kind, and not in a forced customer service type of way. Just genuinely happy to help and in a wonderful mood. The shop itself is very aesthetically laid out, with a great selection of coffees, teas, and wines. It's not an enormous menu, but it doesn't need to be. Everything we had was delicious and if you're a fan of tea you should try the white peony, it was wonderful iced! My favorite experience there, however, was stepping into the restroom to find a complimentary assortment of feminine products. It's small touches like that which truly elevate a business from customer friendly to customer oriented. Strongly recommend this coffee shop to anyone in the Waco area, whether just for the day or a...

Facebook post from a friend of mine:
âWaco folks: I will never give Lighthouse Coffee & Wine a dime again. You shouldnât either. They stole this idea and recipe from a dear friend of mine and his startup syrup company after he worked at Lighthouse for about a year and was let go due to COVID-19 financial struggles. Iâd encourage you to support local businesses who do not engage in sneaky dealings, backstabbing, and under-the-table exchanges. Thereâs SO MUCH good coffee in Waco... go support Common Grounds or Pinewood who are also both local roasters.
Thereâs right and wrong in business practice, and in this situation, Lighthouse clearly chose to do the unethical, cheating thing instead of the right thing. Support your local Waco businesses who do things...
