This business is usually hit and miss. My friend and I usually want fish every couple of months and quickly head to Long John Silvers forgetting we said we wouldn’t return because of a previous experience. Yesterday 7/26/25 we head there for a quick meal before doing our weekly shopping. Customer service: Very sad that some of our youth doesn’t know the meaning of words like friendly and courteous as this young man leaned on the counter,as he took my order, with the look of annoyance perhaps because I didn’t use the new kiosk that had been installed before getting to him. It was for card transactions, I was using cash. Drinks: I had to ask for the cup for my drink which was not a problem to remind him however there were no lids available for the medium cups. Table: There were 4 booth and 2 tables available but they were ALL dirty! We found the cleaner one and my friend got napkins to wipe the table and seats down. Food: My fish was hot but fries were old, dried out and cold. My friend’s chicken was cold with her fries in the same state as mine. I have her my hush puppies and that’s only hot item on her plate. We leave, once again, vowing we’ll never return as my stomach gets those familiar cramps that we have both experienced quite a few times before after eating here. We’re praying it will not go past a few stomach cramps into something more serious like has happened in the past. Old ladies tend to forget and/or forgive but I think we really learned our...
Read moreI waited in the drive thru line for about 30 minutes on Ash Wednesday. No one took my order after I’ve reviewed the menu and waited at the speaker box. I pulled up to the window, the lady reviewed an order without greeting me, told her I didn’t get to order, and she said to get back in line to place my order. That is not great customer service. I would have placed my order if someone would have acknowledged me thru the speaker box. The person before me did not order thru the speaker box yet they were able to place an order at the window. Mind you the employee had her arms crossed as she was speaking to me and paid no mind nor was empathetic to me after I told her no one took our order at the speaker box. Very rude and unprofessional. Apparently her way of servicing me was doing away with me. Before I pulled up to the window, as I was waiting for the employee to finish servicing the vehicle in front of me, the lady at the window glanced at the line and made a frustrated gesture due to the long line. Obviously she was already agitated they had many customers waiting to be serviced. Regardless, that is child like behavior and is unacceptable. Very disappointing to know customers are not welcomed. I rarely go to this restaurant and the one time I chose to go the experience...
Read moreI've always loved LJS. I drove 17 minutes out of my way while traveling from Denton to Austin and back to Dallas to eat here. Parked the truck and trailer in the back of the parking lot and walked to the front. The doors are locked at 7:59 but I can see people inside paying for their order and the drive thru is clearly open. I really didn't want to eat greasy food in the truck, and I've been in the truck for hours already. I really wanted to sit at a table and eat but no that's not happening. So I go back to the truck and head to the drive-thru. I order and wait to get to the window. This took 17 minutes to fulfill orders for 3 cars. Not exactly banging the drive thru and certainly don't have to worry about people inside ordering. Finally get to the window and pay for my food. I explained that I was quite disappointed about driving 17 minutes out of my way to come there and I can't actually sit down and eat. The girl says there is only three people inside and she can't go back and forth so she locked the doors. Really? Most LJS I've been in only have three people working and they manage to keep the doors open until closing time. Thank you for giving me a good reason not to drive out of my...
