McDonald's — Restaurant in Waco

Escaping the scorching 105-degree heat, we decided to grab a bite at our local McDonald's. However, our experience was a bit off. We waited around 10 minutes for the cashier to come out from the restroom , seems like she might have been the only one working the front. Fortunately, we were at the front of the line with about 10 people behind us. There was also another line forming just for refills.

Oddly, the cashier, who seemed frustrated, wasn't quite the welcoming face we expected. With my uncle and the kids in tow, we ordered 4 Happy Meals and 2 Big Macs. The wait for our order was longer than anticipated about 20 minutes and during that time, we noticed others requesting ketchup packets from the cashier. Unfortunately, the ketchup station was empty, so we had to ask . When our turn finally came, I politely asked for extra ketchup packets, The cashier responded that there was plenty in the bag, so had to asked another time can I have EXTRA ketchup packets and she rudely through four on the counter , but once we sat down, we realized there was none to be found as she said there was plenty in the bag

As we enjoyed our meal, another incident caught our attention. A customer approached for a refill A person who seemed like a manager came by and was asked for a Dr Pepper refill. The response was surprising – the manager told the customer to wait for an employee from the back to handle the refill. The odd thing was, the manager just stood there, not taking any action.

While it might just be McDonald's, it's disappointing when the experience falls short of even basic expectations. The cashier's attitude was a letdown, and unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. It's important to acknowledge both the good and the not-so-good, even in fast-food joints. Here's hoping for better experiences...

Worst customer service in my life 😔 on Wednesday 23rd of April 2025 at 6:45pm I ordered a number 3 meal with a coke they got it so wrong and took 20 mins to make it was not buzy like 4 cars in drive thru behind me and inside maybe 6 customers so they never gave a receipt the person's at the pay window we're talking about there weekend plans to hang out get there drunk on wearing plan clothes not an uniform the female had a tight really tight camouflage t shirt the young man had a hoodie with rhinestones on it they proceeded to tell me to move up to the third window I did Waiting waiting all the cars who were behind me got there food I am still waiting finally the food I looked into the bag I said I order the meal missing fries 🍟 the said ok brb waiting waiting then second person came said can I have a receipt I said I never got one she ok one sec I said ok now this good 20 mins now a third person came to said you only order drink and burger he had a forgein voice I no I ordered a number 3 meal with a coke well not you did not I must charge you for a fries why I am I getting charge your drive people should pay attention he said no no you are wrong yelling me then told me to f$$$ off slammed the window on me I drove around parked went inside asked for a GM or manager young lady said I am a floor supervisor ok so a shift lead right she said whatever what I need my med fries I have order she walk over I explain what the other green shirt so call shift manager with silver chains said to me he was going to charge me for a meal double charge she said well we do that no no she walked over got cold fries and hand them to me then said you leave go back to your country oh ok i was here I am sure you was not this is how y'all train your...

I would give a zero if I could. I ordered 20 nuggets and only got 16 and can you believe they were annoyed with me for complaining about that?! I mean I did pay for 20 and NOT 16! I bet any kind of money that if I didn’t have enough money to pay for 20 I wouldn’t have been be able to get food. Why is it okay for me to get the short end of the stick. I told the guy in the drive thru that it didn’t look like 20. His response was “well the guy who does the nuggets has been here for 3 years.” They guy has been there for 3 years and he can’t count? That’s horrible! I didn’t want to hold up the line but I regret that. When I left and in fact counted them I called back and the manager was very sarcastic and said, “do you want to come get your 4 nuggets or what do you want me to do about it.” Some customer service! It’s not about the miss count. It’s about how you treat people. I don’t want to pull the race card but I have to wonder if I would have been treated differently. I work really hard for my money and I believe I deserve to get what I pay for. Never again will I ever give them $1 of anything...
