Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Waco

I walked into the establishment to order pizza for my children and seen a few red flags. Once I stepped inside to order a pizza I noticed two individuals in the establishment A Caucasian male with a Hat and a Caucasian woman with piercings and tattoos. As the woman went to wash her hands, I was closely observing the male worker as he prepared someone’s pizza without any gloves, head gear or face gear. The male worker touched cheese and pepperoni to apply it to the dough. While doing this without gloves, the male worker also placed his hands to his face and touching his nose. Then went back to touch more food to make a pizza and had not washed his hands. As I observed this taking place, the female worker just walked up to take my order. I replied to the female worker, “I am good, I don’t want anything.” As I am leaving both workers are staring at me and as I was walking, I stopped and replied, “He is in here preparing food for someone with no gloves on and putting his hands in his face and touching his nose. Then is going right back to make someone else’s food. That is nasty and unsanitary.” The female worker replies, “well have a good day.” So at this point, there is no accountability towards the worker and I would not recommend anyone...

I have been a papa Johns fan for a while. I like the way the pizza taste and it’s a good price. When I moved, I continued to order the pizza, but the location that was closest to my house is not tht great. My order has been wrong multiple times, pizza has been cold, and there have been times when the app says that the pizza was delivered but wasn’t. This most recent order was the last straw, I ordered a pizza with a promo code. Once I put in the order I realize that I was ordering to pay cash. Not my intention. I wanted to pay with card. Not wanting to lose my promo code discount, I called immediately to cancel the order. Upon answering the phone I was immediately treated with hold much. No one to say that anything. Just immediately hold! Once a person finally answered the phone her tone sounded extremely frustrated. She huffed and puffed. Because it was a cancel she needed a manager. When the manager picked up his tone sounded extremely frustrated. When I called him out on the terrible customer service that I experienced he got defensive. Pizzas can be made fairly quickly. You can choose pick up or delivery. Please don't forget to tip your driver appropriately (no matter what delivery service you use) as they're using their personal vehicle at basic entry level pay. This means, they survive mostly on tips. Normally, a better tip (anywhere) also usually means you'll be provided better service! You might actually be surprised to find out how many people in the restaurant business are not always treated with respect. Be ready for that if you are ever looking to work within a restaurant business!
