It began when I was 34 years old. I was a young mom with four kids in the car on a Sunday evening when we ordered our milkshakes. Only. As time went by and I began to age, I began to wonder if the shakes were ever going to come, as my oldest son, who was 14 at the time, had now graduated highschool and was headed to college. My hands began to wrinkle, and my hair turned grey, as the screen finally announced that Jacob was on his way! If Jacob had been on his way, it must have been from a land far far away, because as the years continued to tick by, Jacob still had not arrived. As my last child, who was 4 years old at the time when we started this after dinner milkshake run had now married and had children of her own, Jacob finally appeared with milkshakes in hand! He gave them to us and quickly disappeared into the night. But guess what? He had forgotten ONE milkshake. It belonged to mom, who was nearing the end of her life, and just wanted to taste that sweet hot fudge nectar. After realizing what had happened, we found Jacob at a nearby car and got his attention to grab the missing shake. Satisfied, I hobbled back into the car and awaited his prompt arrival. However, his arrival was not prompt, and I felt the end coming closer. In a last ditch effort I made my way to the employee door as Jacob recognized my old, battered eyes, he remembered he had not brought my shake, hurried back inside and grabbed it, placing it in my wrinkled, weak hand with a quick “I’m so sorry about that.” I am now going to try to drink this shake before my time expires, but I wanted to use what was left of my strength to write this review and warn you all of the tragedy that occurred at this particular Sonic on 6th street in Waco Texas.
However, the one on Hewitt Drive in Woodway is fantastic, unless you have a lot of life left to give, feel free to come here.
In all seriousness, we waited for over an...
Read moreHusband ordered us two diet vanilla dr peppers easy ice. The dude said it back but without the vanilla, and my husband clarified WITH vanilla, to which the dude said “yeah yeah”. Took like 5 minutes to ring it up, and sure enough, rang it up without vanilla. Paid, lady brought it out, husband asked, “we asked twice for these with vanilla and didn’t see it rang up correctly. Did he put vanilla in these, do you know?” She said “No, that’s extra.” Like, okay, duh. So, as she clearly trying to get away, my husband said, “Okay well I’m going to double check before you go...” tasted it, she STILL trying to get away, and he says “Yeah definitely isn’t any.” And she didn’t even say sorry, she just said “yeah there isn’t any it’s extra.” Like, right. We heard you the first time. Too bad you weren’t listening to us when we ordered. She practically ran off before my husband could even ask to just pay for the correct order. And of course, they shoved as much ice as possible into our cups- can’t even read the order they take down apparently. Not even worth it, honestly should’ve asked for the manager. I get that’s it just drinks and it’s just vanilla- but that’s the point. It’s not a hard request and something as simple as vanilla syrup can easily be apologized for and corrected for FREE instead of trying to nickel and dime us for your own carelessness. Seriously save yourself the trouble, even for something as seemingly simple as drinks, and go to ANY...
Read moreWell if you want to be accused of trying to steal waters that you ordered online this is your place!! I ordered 4 waters to take to some guys working outside and they only gave me 2 when I got there. I checked my receipt and I definitely had 4 on there. So I pressed the button and tried to explain that my order was wrong and I just needed the 2 waters they forgot (no big deal) we’ll he didn’t get that so the next guy came out. I was like cool I will show the receipt and that I only have 2 water!! Well after I try to point him to the receipt plenty of times and show him I only have 2 waters. He walks away and says something super under his breath, So I figure I’m good to go!! Nope next thing I know the manager is coming out to talk to me!! I was not told to wait!! So I pull around now embarrassed and very annoyed!! I then try to talk to her for a few minutes before she finally takes the receipts and checks it inside (I was told I had to pay for the waters multiple times this whole time. I already had!!) then comes out and gives a very weak apology to someone who was just embarrassed and wasted 10 minutes of there life!! No refund no how can we fix this no nothing!! Safe to say I doubt I will be going to any sonic anytime soon!! (I work in costumer service this is not how you act ever) oh yeah don’t forget this was over...
