China Express — Restaurant in Wadsworth

I come here every once in a while and the food is usually pretty tasty. The gentleman (I think may be the owner) that's usually cooking is so polite too! Now today, he wasn't there. There was a lady cooking. I'd ordered burbon chicken. I've had the dish before from several different places. This however, looked TERRIBLE! IT TASTED EVEN WORSE! The chicken tasted like it sat in a salt brine, then was covered in duck sauce. The entree was on a bed of shredded cabbage with some chicken fried rice. That wasn't what I ordered....I'm not sure if this is their usual way if making the dish or what. This place has been my go to for Chinese food, but I think I'll be taking a break. Ordered delivery through door dash...Door dash driver was great and on time. The food however was so overcooked that I couldn't even cut the sesame chicken without it crunching and feeling like a pork gristle. I called the store and the owner said it happens, nobody is perfect... but there's nothing I can do about it... call door dash to get a refund. WOW!! I would have been happy if they would have just offered to replace it....whatever... this place was recommended by a friend... but I can guarantee that I will never order from this place again. It sucks that people think because it's getting delivered that they can just serve whatever kind of quality food they want......

I would not give any stars if I could. Most hot and sour soups do not have meat in it and their menu does not say it does. I am a vegan and found a vegan hot and sour soup elsewhere. Restaurants need to realize that vegans do not have the enzymes to break down meat and will make them very sick if they ingest meat!! I have Covid, so I was already sick. Their lack of compassion over them serving a vegan with something with meat in it was unbelievable! Their customer service was horrible over trying to order something with tofu and then not apologizing when I called back asking if the soup had meat in it. It’s time to get more compassionate and...
