Please read entire review…..Consistent repetition of the same food. Have only been during the week and the menu doesn’t change. The meats seem to sit and dry out. Not sure if they cook one big batch at the beginning and keep adding to the pans. I just know the fried foods are never hot. Just warm and dried out. Looks like they would have heat lamps and cook smaller batches that would stay fresh. The lady ringing up at the cash register is very pleasant which has kept me coming back on other occasions a bearded guy is working the register and always seems to try too hard being nice. Instead he comes across arrogant and smart mouthed. He’s running me away from wanting to even give the place my business

I have since been back to The Forks Cafeteria on several occasions and have seen a positive overall improvement. The fried foods are consistently fresher and hotter than previous times that I have dined here. I can honestly say the menu has changed for the better with additional items being added. The beef brisket and fresh barbecue is part of the additions that have been added and I must say that the beef brisket is a must try item. It’s tender and flavorful. The staff has definitely changed for the better. I should add that the bearded gentleman has gone out of his way to insure the customers are happy with their visit. It’s nice to have a decent place to enjoy a wonderful lunch. It’s only fair that this review was updated and I’ve tried to give an honest review. I've lived in the Wake Forest/Rolesville area at least four different times during my adulthood and heard so many good things about Forks. So my husband and I decided to eat here. He got the fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. I got chicken dumplings, carrots and green beans with corn bread and banana pudding. I ate just about everything except for the banana pudding. However, I got up to go to the restroom and my husband walked away to look at the menu board on the wall and refill our drinks. When we got back to the table, our table had been completely cleaned off in the five minutes both of us had been gone from the table. When my husband said something to the busboy, he didn't even try to remedy the situation. He apologized and that was about the extent of it. This is the ONLY reason I am giving 4 stars. Located in Wake Forest, NC, this has been a long-time favorite place to find an excellent meal for one or a family of 5. Today, it was for our Church family of 14. The meal was selective by choice, rather than eat all you can eat. Portions are paid for based on your selection. Tasty as ever, well seasoned, 😋 Wow! 5 🌟 🤩.
