Wendy's — Restaurant in Wake Forest

This place concerns me. I have been coming here monthly for the last 2 years or so. I took my kids last weekend, and it is one of the dirtiest restaurants I have been to in recent memory.

I counted no less than 50 flies, dead and alive, laying around the dining room.(yes I took pictures) It was bad enough that my 8 year old requested to move tables because the flies kept bothering her.

In addition, the tea urns were not covered, so that was pretty nasty considering the fly situation. Who knows how bad it might be behind the counter where the food is prepped?

The reason I am posting this publicly is because I provided a survey a week ago and got no response. I sent a note through Facebook, and got a response within 2 days that it would be forwarded to the local management team. This was on May 27th 2019, so that is encouraging. And we'll see how it plays out.

As much as I love Wendy's, spicy chicken sandwiches, their fries, and frosty's... I can no longer eat at either Wake Forest locations due to concerns with cleanliness and subpar service. This is coming from a guy that has never 1-starred a restaurant.

I would love to change my review if anyone were to reach out with any assurance that the issues are being addresed. You have my contact info from last weekend. I'll leave this here until I get a response. Otherwise, I hope no one gets sick.

Stopped in for dinner around 5:45pm tonight. We had to wait for someone to take our order which is horrible service to start with. My wife ordered a salad and they were not even sure if they had it. I ordered a 4 for 4 meal and a chili. While we waited for our order we went to get our drinks at the Coke Freestyle machines. One had a clogged drain and water spilling out of it. The selections were very limited; maybe eight selections each. What is the point of having a Freestyle if there are only eight choices? Then I was told there were no blueberries for the salad - is that okay. They only had pomegranate dressing. I asked for BBQ sauce for my nuggets and never got that either. The ketchup machine was empty they told me it was broken like most everything there. The overall store was not clean at all. The service personnel are not friendly or outgoing and you get the impression they do not even want to be there. This store might be new but it is not worth going to - spend your money elsewhere. I doubt that I will be back there are just too many better choices available. If you are the owner you might want to manage your store better or it might not be...

Wendy's is a wonderful environment. The service is great. Food is great. And the building is well kept. Sometimes service isn't the best because of the lunch and dinner rushes. Wendy's is a new store, meaning they are short staffed. There are not enough people in the store to work both the first lane and the second lane. There are not enough crew members to have the fastest of service. But they work with what they have and that takes hard work. You older folk have worked as waiters/waitresses when you were younger. Cut them some slack. Being short staffed isn't easy and it isn't fun. There are ups and downs to every restaurant. I enjoy this place. They have taken good care of me. When they mess up they apologize for the inconvenience immediately. They work hard to make service great and food delicious. Food isn't going to look as advertised because in commercials they don't use real food because the length of the photo shoot would cause the food to go bad. Its just like the advertisement for icecream. They use a clay or playdough type of substance. And it's fast food. It isn't going to look perfect but it will...
