Starbucks — Restaurant in Walker

I stopped by this Starbucks for a coffee, and as soon as I approached the counter, the cashier asked if I was there to pick up a DoorDash order. I was a bit taken aback—not because the question was offensive in itself, but because it felt like an assumption based solely on how I looked.

I understand that things can get busy and staff might be trying to streamline service, but it’s important to treat every customer with the same level of attention and respect. I wasn’t wearing anything that indicated I was a delivery driver, and I hadn’t said anything before being asked. It made me feel stereotyped, and that’s not a great feeling to carry into your day—especially when you’re just trying to grab a coffee.

I hope this feedback encourages a little more mindfulness in how customers are approached. A simple “Hi, how can I help you today?”...

Typically, i don't have any issues with this location. The baristas are always super friendly and the store atmosphere is quiet and makes a great second office space. However, the inconsistency with how drinks are made has become a reoccurring problem. As a former Starbucks barista, i know when a drink is made per recipe. The staff at this location desperately need to review recipes and how to make them ie using the lines on the shaker cup to match the ratio of green tea:water:peach juice or the correct amount of sweet cream in a vanilla sc cold brew. This location Starbucks is located on Lake Michigan Drive in Standale, Michigan. The service was as well as the drinks. Plenty of parking right on the corner of Lake Michigan Drive in Wilson . The restaurant was very clean, free Wi-Fi and very modern . This Starbucks has wheelchair access accessibility, as well as seating outside and a nice clean patio. Exiting onto Lake Michigan Drive can be very difficult. I recommend going to Wilson to the light due to the high traffic area...
