Szechuan Tokyo — Restaurant in Wall Township

My wife and I patronize our favorite restaurants, usually for a specific dish that they serve that is better than similar dishes offered elsewhere. Every Thursday we go to Szechuan Tokyo specifically for the Negimaki, the Japanese dish consisting of broiled strips of beef marinated in teriyaki sauce and rolled with scallions. While it is not equal to the Negimaki to which I was accustomed when living in New York, it is the best to be found anywhere around this neck of the woods. Since it is BYOB, we usually stop at the Foodtown, located in the same strip mall, to pick up a bottle of Sake Wine to complement our meal. The service here is excellent - very friendly, fast, courteous, and efficient. The salad and miso soup, which are included with the meal, are always fresh and very tasty. My wife and I each get a California Roll, which is also quite good, as an appetizer before eating the Negamaki entrée. Every course arrives at the table at just the right time - never rushed. Best place, staff, people, food, service... Best EVERYTHING at the Jersey Shore. Been going here for almost 20 years and they never cease to amaze me. Tell me one other place where an employee (the front desk girl who does, literally, just about everything there) knows your name just by hearing your voice and remembers your EXACT order EVERY SINGLE TIME you call/go/order from there. They are the sweetest kindest family-run establishment I have ever come across. I’ll go here until the end of my days. 🤘🏽👍🏽👍🏽❤️❤️ There’s not one bad thing I can say about this establishment. They even still have every single birthday picture of my twin sister and I from every time we’ve been there. Whenever we go there for hibachi (which I might add is the best meal you could ever ask for) we always go look at our old pictures. Such great memories. This is truly an amazing and one of a kind family-run establishment

My family LOVES Szechuan Tokyo and we go here all the time. This place always get our order perfect and it's still warm by the time we get home (about 10 min away). Their online ordering system is a bit difficult if you're using your phone because it's meant for a desktop view. It shows all the prices and is fairly detailed for an online menu (the correct link is the one associated with this Google highlight). Fanny is so wonderful and friendly and she makes sure to have our food ready when we are able to pick it up.
