Salon Cartarae — Local services in Wall Township

This was my first time going to the salon. I had met with the hairstylist Natalie briefly the weekend before to just to discuss what I wanted and she went over what she was going to do to achieve it. I was excited but had no idea the experience that awaited me. When you first check in you are greeted and sent to go get a robe if you are getting color done. I put my robe on and met my stylist at the color table. My mom was with me getting her hair done too so we both chatted with ourselves and the stylists at the table having a wonderful time. We are offered the usual coffee or water but we brought our own and they also had snacks out to enjoy. When it was time for a wash they used wonderful products to hydrate and repair. I was treated to a scalp massage and a cold rinse all done by Christine. It was amazing. Since I was getting a base color, full highlight, 3 glazes, a hydration mask, a cut, and a style... I was there for over 6 hours. It was a loooong day but Natalie never lost patience. She was very excited to see the final out come of my transformation. Everyone there was so nice, acomdidating, made sure we were comfortable, and happy. We were. I also have to admit that my hair was a mess when I went in. I had an ombre done a while back but let it go. I had orangey blond ties with dark brown hair on top. I wanted to go back to blonde. I knew this was going to be a fee step process with today's step being the longest. I was prepared to have an in between lack luster color just ment to be the starting point. That.was.not.what.i.got.at.all! My hair turned out so beautiful. Gome was the harsh blo de at the end replaced with a beautiful carmel blonde that blends perfectly up into my scalp and best of all Natalie worked hard to ensure that there were mo lines from the highlights that you always get. I couldn't be more happy with the out come of my hair. Best color of my life... oh and the cut was exactly what I wanted too. I am also going to give a shout out to my mom's stylist Emily too. My moms hair looked great after having it done and s well. Her hair is very damaged by Chemo she received not to long ago. Emily hydrated or. Thinned it out, gave her a nice cut so that she can start growing it out and provided a wonderful natural highlight. At this point I cant picture going anywhere else...

My wife Debbie has been a client of Salon Cartarae for many years. Here is her story: Tara Vogel helped me thru the trauma of losing my hair due to chemo in 2006. She has supported me thru another health crisis in 2011 when I had an aneurysm and then again during a second bout of cancer in 2021, but there is nothing more spectacular than what she and Rachel did for me on May 20, 2023. My daughter Colleen, along with her entire bridal party and I had made plans for hair and makeup on the morning of her wedding. Salon Cartarae makes the wedding day for the bride a very special day…..hosting a champagne breakfast along with bagels, etc to celebrate the bride’s special day. On our way to the salon, Rachel called to tell us that there was no electricity at the salon due to a transformer problem in Sea Girt. Tara and the entire team (Rachel, Jackie and staff) sprung into action and moved the staff to an alternate location in Spring Lake. All of us had the full treatment - hair and makeup - to look spectacular for the wedding! I can’t say enough about this team. They truly care about their clients and do EVERYTHING to make sure to exceed expectations. I am so grateful for...

Salon Cartarae provides a relaxing one on experience with a stylist to help you achieve your hair goals. Laura is a trained Ouidad stylist and she does amazing work. I really wanted a change after the lockdown. My hair was very long; the weight prevented my curls from bouncing up and creating the volume and definition I wanted. I wanted more layers for volume and a face frame that would cascade down my face naturally without having to create a deep part in my hair. Laura knew exactly what I was describing and did an incredible job.
