Ordered the House Special Chicken, Beef Roll, and Orange Beef.
This is the first time I've had this sort of "House Special Chicken," and I was quite impressed. The sauce that came with it was the right amount of garlic, salt, sweet, and sour goodness. We got the small, and I would say it's more than enough for two people. I have yet to try Earthen's "House Special Chicken," which I hear is also good, so I can't give a comparison. As for the Beef Roll, also delicious. I've had Easy Earthen's Beef Roll, but I like this more. Even though it is a dollar more, I think it is worth it for better flavoring and the crispier outside that makes it awesome. The Orange Beef, is just as you would imagine it...Orange Chicken, but in beef form, which is good. Also, if you want rice with a dish, such as the Orange Beef, you have to ask them to bring it out. We had asked the waitress if it came with rice, and she replied with a yes. However, when the food got brought out we didn't get any rice and eventually had to flag her down to get a bowl (no extra cost). I wish they could've been more clear in the menu or a sign, about the rice. For that, I would give New Golden City 3.5 stars, but it's not bad enough for me to give them 3 because the food was still good.
Overall, good experience, good food, decent prices. I would come back again, and probably try the fish steam dumplings, since I see good reviews for it. Keep in mind, there is $25 credit card minimum, so if you're not ordering that...

Stopped by here for dinner and we were not disappointed. All the food was fresh, tasty, and ample. We were a party of 8, so we ordered and good amount of food. Everything was great. The orange chicken was not as sweet as others and was really good.
Food break down: The hot and sour soup was delicious, tasty and hit the spot. The sliced fish in Szechwan sauce was fantastic. The fish was perfectly cooked and the heat was the right amount of spice and flavor. The pork and cabbage dumplings were juicy and tender. I wished I ordered two orders of this. The combination sautéed noodles was great as well. A good mix of pork, chicken, and seafood with a nice light sauce. Very tasty. The pan seared green beans were delicious. Tender crisp with “the breath” of the wok which was slightly smokey. Always a favorite. The combination fried rice was tasty and a good balance of flavors. For the rice lovers. The braised eggplant was a surprise hit. Eggplant can be bland but this wasn’t. It had a nice blend of spice and flavor, and was a hit. The beef with broccoli was delicious as well. Tasty and packed with tender crisp broccoli.
The service was great. The owner lady was attentive, helpful and gave good recommendations (sliced fish, hot and sour soup). The ambience was dated, but clean. No A/C made it hot while eating. All in all...
Read moreIt is located inside the building which also house the 99 Ranch Market. A Tiny little Chinese Diner but cooks up some big flavors. There is no ambiance worth mentioning, same goes to the service, just adequate.
We ordered these great tasting dishes, the small table quickly crowded up as the dishes arrive.
Also, I don't think they have soda fountains, so, you might get a cup of ice and a can of soda.
All in all, good food,...
