Captain D's — Restaurant in Walterboro

We were wary of a fast food establishment but the restaurant nearby was closed. I read the reviews and thought twice as well.

But dudes, the food here is dirt cheap. What up?

Got a salad with 2 skewers of lemon pepper shrimp, it was as good as a comparable salad at Sam’s Beach Bar in Hudson, Florida. Here it is the next morning and I am not suffering from a sodium (swollen feet, elevated blood pressure) hangover. I gain 7 lbs over night at Red Lobster, Sam’s or Frenchies. So the food is A plus.

Got lobster tools too as an appetizer figured the do’s needed a treat but the sweet bread was excellent better than Connecticut rolls and it tasted like lobster. I mean 4 bucks- you’re gonna complain? Went to the lobster roll restaurant at National Harbor and the same thing costs $16. Value.

Husband got fried plate the waitress person brought out the first part apologizing and said the rest (fried) would follow. Brilliant move, who wants to wait for everything together nice and cold. So he eats hot food and out comes the batter fried fish, nice and hot.

Real malt vinegar too.

We usually stop at some fancy restaurant in Florence, I think this place is perfect. I’ll vote to return.

No no no not ever will I be eating at this location anymore. My family went to eat here driving from 45 mins away on our way to do some shopping. Had waited a good 20 minutes before my order was even taken. Let me tell you they had only 2 other customers in there at that time! We finally got our order taken and they told use they didn't have what we wanted on the register so they charged us for something else and said they would make what we wanted which never happen. Listen here after placing our order we still didn't receive our food until another 30 minutes! Then when we got our food we were missing some of our sides and by the way I was charged an extra 50 cent for each side which suppose to have came with the meal.! When I asked for the missing they tell me they were out of stock but I couldn't get my money back because the manager was no where to be found! Yeah my food was fresh, hot and good but no one is ever going to be happy with the kind of service I got tonight. Oh and since you're starting to remoldel this place to attract more customers maybe you need to start with the...

Most people appreciate fresh food but this place is ridiculous with the amount of time it takes to achieve that. I've eaten there twice in the past year or so; would've been three but once they were so slow I left the drive thru and went somewhere else.

Today when I pulled up to the drive thru I was asked to hold. Just when I was about to drive off 3 minutes later, the clerk took the order. My receipt was stamped 2:29pm. At 2:43 I tapped the horn to ask what was causing the delay since I only ordered a kids meal. In all that time I watched her fixing drinks and putting food on trays but she never once came to update me. I was told that only one cook was working and that my fried okra had taken 4 minutes to cook. It was 2:43 when I honked and I received the food at 2:46. 17 minutes, not 4. I asked for a drink refill since I'd finished it while I waited. She gave me a large drink instead of the kid size. That was nice of her but I doubt I'll go back.
