First and last visit to this place. Im not sure who this appeals to. I guess maybe some people like to buy overpriced ($5!?) cookies in a cold sterile environment that feels like it's straight out of a mean girls set piece?
With underwhelming and undercooked flavor, a corporate generic feel , and no option to buy the smaller cookies on the presentation plate to sample , no material discount on quantity and outrageous prices , everything about this enterprise is wrong.
This is the cupcake fad all over again, but the cookies arnt even very good. Even the milk chocolate in their chocolate chip cookies is some sort of low grade military chocolate or something. It tasted like whatever Hershey's threw out as their B grade bars. Everything screams generic mediocre cookie , just dressed up with pretty presentation. Tried the snickerdoodle ice cream cookie too ... just totally "meh". The over packaging and bizzare focus on the presentation "experience" in boxes embodies the "everything must LOOK perfect and spotless" attitude , with no regard to the product's actual quality. This is a store designed for your eyes to convince you your tongue is lying when it tells you "gross". You can buy and make better stuff at home easily from a grocery store tube. For that matter , the local grocery bakery or Costco cookies that have been sitting for several hours to a day are better.
Run away and take your wallet with you.
P.S. The "owners" generic corporate non-response of a black hole email box should tell you everything you need to know about this cookie franchise... it's there...
Read moreThough the staff is absolutely lovely, my experience with Crumbl Cookie food was not very good.
First of all, for people who might not know the concept, the cookies are not pre-made, they are baked after you order them. You might think that 5 to 10 minute is not enough to bake a cookie. You'd be right. Apart from the lave chocolate, all the cookies were undercooked. Largely undercooked. And this is not surprising, considering how thick the cookies are and the allocated time for baking.
Secondly, we got a box of 6 cookies, almost one of each flavor of the week - 3 were chocolates (2 lava and 1 chocolate chip), and 3 were others (lemonade, pink something and almond cream something, I don't remember the names). The lava chocolate ones were good, though very sweet. The chocolate chip was extremely sweet, and quite average. As for the other ones, we were surprised to get basically flavored cream on top of a generic cookie. The flavor is only in the cream. Now, it makes sense as the cookies are made from scratch. But that makes each of them very average, and unpleasantly sweet, to the point that we threw them as nobody at home wanted to eat them.
Finally, and with no offense at all for the team, but not having the whole concept (cookies made from scratch after order) explained is quite dubious. My experience with home-made cookies is that they need 20 to 25 minutes of baked, followed by 30min (minimum) of cooling. And this is for normal sized cookies, i.e. half the size of what Crumbl Cookie offers.
So yeah, 2 stars in my book - 5 stars for the crew, but 0 for...
Read moreItâs cookies!! But not what my review is about. I think the owner and or management should give every single one of those employees a raise. We went in to get some cookies today around 4pm today, Tuesday. At first we couldnât even get in the door the place was so crowded. As we made our way to the front to order, it was filled with teenagers excitedly talking about life. I say excitedly, but it was more, very loudly exclaiming their joy for cookies!!! happy to be getting their cookies. The list of orders kept growing. And growing. I watched as maybe 4? employees turned out these beautiful made cookies, all decorated by hand, with speed and precision. As they placed the cookie box on the counter, to make sure this cookie was every bit as perfect as advertised, not one person said thank you. What a shame. I was particularly moved by one worker, and I didnât get her name. She was incredibly sweet and apologized for the wait. I said, there was nothing to be sorry for they were busy! You should really celebrate your staff there if you already donât. Maybe you do! I donât know how many people in their shoes that could have dealt with that many orders and that many loud loud excited!! Cookie buyers. Thank you! Ps. The cookies...
