Not family friendly. Don’t come here if you have kids. And if you do brace yourself if the manager Laurie is working that day. My family & I, a large party of 20, went there today to have lunch for Easter and just her greeting alone when I walked in with my kids rubbed me the wrong way. Very cold and she almost seemed annoyed. But I brushed it off, whatever. Now granted we did have 9 kids with us and I personally was trying my best to keep them under control but they were laughing and just being kids. Not being super unruly or anything in my opinion. She came over and told us the kids were being too disruptive and they were getting lots of complaints about it. She also threw in that “this isn’t a banquet hall”. Mind you we were pretty secluded aside from 2 other tables of older people near us. If that were true, she certainly could have approached this situation differently and handled it in a much better manner. She was incredibly rude about it and honestly as a mom of 3 young kids it was very triggering. People like her are the reason moms feel hesitant and insecure about bringing their children out to places like this. Shame on her and Grassfields you should be embarrassed to have someone like this working in a management position, or any position for that matter, at your restaurant. Lost our entire family as customers for sure. Which is a shame because we’ve been here many times before and we never had an issue like this. I will add though that we all felt really bad for our waitress because she was very sweet. What a shame. Do better...
Read moreGrassfields is easily my favorite go to restaurant in Massachusetts. Always consistent with their quality, no matter if its beef or seafood. And always a fair price.
Always packed, granted with older crowds and families, but you never really have to wait for a table unless you go at a really popular time and even then, it’s never not worth the wait.
I love that the most expensive item is less than 30 dollars so you can get a full 3 course meal plus delicious bread without breaking the bank.
I’ve never had a single item I didn’t like, everything is delicious. If you come here you must get the rice pilaf!
During they’ve been extra safe and I’ve always felt safe getting food from them. I’m newer to Mass and when interviewing for a job here I ate here for dinner the night before, after I got the job I came here multiple times while apartment searching because they also have awesome cheap delicious lunch, and I take everyone who comes to visit here their first night. It’s been a special place to me, I even ordered my dinner here after my husband and I...
Read moreFirst time going and it was quite delicious! Went around 7:40 and they said about 10-15 minute wait but it only took about 5 minutes. Beer selection was OK, pretty standard stuff for drafts; good wine selection and cocktails. Casual family atmosphere with goods prices and with a very friendly waiting staff. I got the bacon wrapped filet with a potato and side salad (get the Parmesan peppercorn dressing it's delicious). The steak was cooked perfectly on the inside but a little over charred on the outside for my preference. Bread beforehand was delicious too! The two people I ate with got the scallops and steak tips combo and the baked stuffed shrimp and were both very happy with their meals. The scallops and steak tips were actually recommended by someone leaving while we were looking at the menu inside the door. Definitely would recommend and...
