The food here is excellent. It is good quality and always tastes fresh. The portions have gotten much smaller as time has gone by, but that is to be expected when a place becomes established in a new area. The price, however is rather high considering the quality of the food. I only ever order lo mein and one chicken dish, and the order comes to almost $30 easy. I have found that I can get the same or better quality food for less money at other places. I ordered from them for delivery yesterday. Given the times that we are currently in with COVID-19, I understand that small restaurants that are still open for takeout or delivery may experience some delays, however, I live a mile from the store, and the food took an hour and a half to arrive. I only ordered two, simple to make items. It seemed a little excessive considering I had specifically ordered after a “dinner rush” time of day, and had specifically asked for ASAP delivery. I understand these aren’t ideal times for businesses like this, but an hour and a half for a one mile delivery was excessive. I could have ordered through DoorDash and had my food 3x faster, but specifically ordered through the restaurant to give them all the proceeds from my purchase. I may think twice about this next...
Read moreMy family has been ordering from Feng Shui since it opened, but the last few times it seems to have rapidly gone downhill.
Last time my family ordered from this establishment, a staple was found in our rice. Accidents happen, and we reached out to them about it and they offered us a credit on our next order.
This Christmas Eve, we decided to give it another shot and also wanted to ask about the credit in our order. Upon calling to place the order, the FOH said we “could not apply a credit because it was too busy”. What’s the point of offering a credit for future orders if you won’t honor it?
The food was subpar from this evening. The fried shrimp was raw, as well as the beef teriyaki. The chicken seemed ok, although the wings were overcooked and we didn’t get a staple in this batch of fried rice so I guess they are getting better. The potential of getting sick is better than having a piece of sharp metal in your stomach. Anyway we will probably not return, since they might offer us another credit, but will refuse to honor it.
I also included an odd fortune cookie that although not malicious, is just a strange thing to get in one, but...
Read moreOk so I have had food from five different Asian restaurants in Waltham in the past. I decided to try this place after they left a menu at my door Not something I usually do. I am glad I did. This restaurant is better than ANY Asian place in Waltham. I ordered veg tempura and it was lightly fried and delicious. I ordered triple Chili chicken and it was great. I ordered curry rice noodle with shrimp and it was outstanding The real difference here is that they do NOT drench their food in crazy amounts of oil. Also, there is a distinct lack of salt to excess. The food is clean and very enjoyable. I hope they do not revert to the methods of their competitors after gaining initial customers!!!!! Right now , this...
