I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the KFC located in Waltham recently. I visited the establishment with high hopes of enjoying a classic fried chicken meal, but unfortunately, my expectations were far from met.
Upon receiving my order, I was shocked to find that the food was not only lukewarm but downright soggy. The once crispy exterior of the chicken had turned into a mushy mess, and the fries were limp and unappetizing. It was evident that the food had been sitting around for an extended period, and freshness was nowhere in sight.
Disheartened by the quality of my meal, I approached the staff to express my concern. The response I received was nothing short of disappointing. The employees seemed disinterested and unapologetic, providing no explanation or assurance that they would address the issue. The lack of customer service was both surprising and frustrating.
What added to the frustration was the absence of any attempt to compensate for the subpar meal and the inconvenience caused. In other establishments, I've come to expect a level of accountability when a customer receives a meal that falls well below the expected standards. Unfortunately, this KFC location failed to acknowledge the issue, let alone offer any form of compensation or replacement.
In the end, not only did I leave the restaurant with a dissatisfied palate, but I also left with the feeling that customer experience was not a priority for this particular KFC. It's disheartening to see a once-reliable fast-food chain let its standards slip so drastically. I sincerely hope that management takes notice of these issues and works to improve the quality of both their food and customer service at...

The service at this location is horrible and has been for years. Nobody ever offers to help you when you walk in, and they are rude when you do speak with them. I think a lot of it has to do with lack of management. The workers at this KFC would never get away with the way they act if they worked at other nearby fast food restaurants like McDonald's and Burger King. Those other restaurants run a taut ship, but this KFC simply does not care about how they present themselves.
Parking has always been terrible. They have a really small and cramped parking lot which is extremely difficult to get in and out of. I've been wishing for years for them to move to a different address where they can offer either a larger parking lot or a drive-thru.
On top of that, the prices are simply outrageous. On October 8, I ordered the 5-piece Nashville Hot Tenders Combo for $11.79. Less than two weeks later, the price for the exact same menu item has spiked to $14.49 (an increase of 22%, or nearly $3). An 8-piece bucket of chicken costs $22.99, which is approximately $3 per piece.
Their food is good (I wish they hadn't replaced their potato wedges with french fries, french fries can be purchased anywhere), but it's definitely not worth the money they charge. You can get a meal at an actual restaurant (i.e. not fast food) for the price...
Read moreThis was my second time eating at this KFC. The first was so unpleasant, I didn't want 2 go back. But in all honesty, that first time was several years ago. So, I took another chance and went back hoping it was under new management. I don't know if it is but I was hungry and didn't feel like cooking. I noticed the front area was rearranged so maybe they are under new management. In any event, the staff were very personable and helpful. I always look 4 a smile and I wasn't disappointed. I got a 2 piece chicken w/mashed potatoes and gravy. I like dark meat so I had a chicken leg. I was disappointed; it was cooked 2 long making it taste horrible. People have 2 learn how 2 fry chicken. It doesn't take much especially if it's deep fried. The leg tasted like card board not that I have eaten card board. On the other hand, my second piece of chicken was part of the thigh and that was very tasty. The mashed potatoes w/the gravy was also tasty. So, in short, I will try them one more time but this time I will check the chicken before I leave. Popeye's chicken is the only place that I can say really knows how 2 cook chicken.
This is my additional review from today 11/4/24. The chicken still taste like cardboard. It looked burnt which meant the chicken was cooked 2 long leaving it dry and tasting disgusting. was so disappointed. A real let down. This was my last time...
