McDonald's — Restaurant in Wamego

Alright so here's the thing. I'm posting this in late April 2023 and I have to say, I really do love how much McDonald's has been updating their restaurant recently. There are kiosks that will help you if theres a line of people. They aren't all that fast but they get the job done pretty well. Also theres a pretty cool LED table that lights up different colors and will change colors after you place your drinks and food on it. The staff currently are doing a wonderful job. It's much better then it was 5 years ago. I hope the management are treating them fairly with their paychecks. I do have some issues that the company needs to somehow solve. First issue is the ketchup packets. Most restaurants you go to will have a condiment dispenser. This McDonald's did have a dispenser until covid happened. Then they either put it away or threw it out. Since covid isn't an issue they should try to bring it back. It would really make my visit feel more comfortable instead of saying to myself, "Here I go opening 20 ketchup packets again. 🙄" But everything else seems to be alright. Another issue I had was the urinal not flushing. Although that's not a big problem it should be fixed. Bathrooms should be a major priority. Then there's the biggest issue I seriously have and that's how congested the parking lot is. I know McDonald's is trying to do their best but seriously the parking can get rediculous at times. I'm sure they could purchase a small bit of land to the west or south but it's kinda tricky driving around the lot especially if you have a large truck or SUV. Still overall with the recent experience I've had I'm giving this restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars. If they can bring back the dispenser and fix the urinal I'll...

Update 7/7/25: I went in shortly before their lobby was closing and ordered a 40pc nugget and 2 large fry deal and some cookies. The inside wasn't spotless, but it looked like they had been keeping up on it better than before. The nuggets were tasty, and so were the fries. The cookies were fresh, as well. The staff members were kind and courteous. I rode there on my bike, and they made sure to put my order into a bag that was easier to carry the food home in. Even though they were working on getting ready to close lobby, they were not impolite or in a mood that seemed like I was an inconvenience to them getting their job done. There has been a GREAT and VERY NOTICEABLE improvement on the inside of their establishment, both in cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. Keep up the good work, guys. You are going in the right direction for quality customer service and care. I will be making more trips again more frequently than I had before (within the ability of my budget, lol)

Went last night, got a McFlurry (ordered BEFORE my dad and uncle, and I had to ASK for my ice cream when they got their food before I did) nobody was wearing hair nets, they have messed up orders countless times, either something missing or not fully cooked, or burnt scrapings from the grill on the burger, plenty of my family members (as well as myself) have gotten sick from eating their food. Not planning on going back...

When this place changed ownership a while back, the food was awesome, but recently took a rapid dive. I tried calling a month ago to give them a polite complaint, but today proved that they probably just don't care. They actually got the order correct for me today. The fries and nuggets were a little warmer than room temperature. The burgers must have been sitting under the warmer for a while. Hot, but not fresh. The grilled chicken was ok. The Dr. Pepper was amazing! They even overfilled them for me so that they spilled all over my car on my way home. But that ok because they gave me about 50 napkins. Another good thing I've noticed at this place... they keep their fryer oil changed regularly. A little bit more effort from their employees and I'd be fine...
